Highlight of our Dogs Day
Oct 2019
This park is SO nice! There are 3 separate areas. A "winter" or "rainy season" gravel area, a small dog section, and then a large area for all dogs. We frequent this park and always have great experiences. Theres enough room for the owners to walk laps and get exercise as well. Our favorite dog park in the area.

Very good place to bring your dog.

Always bring our dog here when we can. Good place to let your dog strech their legs if they've been in the car for a long time. The park is well maintained and the park is divided so large dogs have their space and small dogs have their space.

One of the better dog parks in the area
Mar 2018 • Couples
Of the dog parks in town, Hondo is one of the better ones. There are three areas - Small dog, Mixed dog (grass) and Mixed dog (gravel). In the fall, the gravel area is used because it's raining a lot. Here you'll find a small covered shelter with seating and a couple rain barrels for dog water. There's a decent amount of space to let the dogs run as well with trash cans around the parameter.

Some owners don't supervise as well as others but I suppose that can be expected anywhere. You may also run into the local "Poop Nazi", suggesting you pick up after your dog or a new couple that bring toddlers or young children with their dog.

The larger grassy area is open in the late spring/summer time. It's 4x as big and the dogs love it. Overall, Hondo is one of the better off leash dog parks in town. See you there!

Easy to get to

Good clean doggy park has bags for number 2s. There is a little hill for dogs to run on. Be careful to watch for holes left by dogs, as it can hurt another dog running and falling into it. May not be a problem but it can happen. There's water available too
Winter yard is pea gravel and flat yard...so a bit boring.

Best dog park in the area.
May 2017
They offer both a summer and winter area. Also there's a separate fenced area for small dogs.
My dog gets very excited when we go here.

Dogpark
Jan 2017 • Friends
This is a nice dog park with plenty of water and space to run. There are usually tennis balls laying around and the poopy bag dispenser has always been full. Watch out of course for people that bring their "anti-social/aggressive" dogs and let them go wild. I have only seen this once at Hondo with a big male German shepherd. Nothing against German Sheperds, that is the breed of my dog.

Some dogs are not monitored!
Feb 2017 • Friends
This is a great location with lots of room for a dog to run. But, after a few experiences we won't go there again. Some people just let their dogs in the enclosure and go back to their cars to text or phone, disregarding what their animals are doing. Twice, the dogs whose owners weren't monitoring them became aggressive to some of the other animals. Dangerous situation!

Nice place for Dogs and Dog lovers
Feb 2017 • Couples
Neither we have a dog nor we are local resident of Hillsboro or Portland. We are just dog lovers and visited this place after reading about the place on tripadvisor as tourists.
Must say that it is lovely place in the sense that the area is frequented by local dog owners and one can watch lovely dogs of different breeds at their playing best.

It was indeed a treat to see that the dogs of different breeds having so much affinity towards each other and playing together one may not often see even humans doing it.

Dog lovers may visit the place and would have smiles on their faces for sure :)
