A little noisy with machines
Sep 2020 • Couples
Beautiful setting...peaceful river views. But isn't there a way to avoid noisy leaf blowing for hours at a time?!? We saw taking by the camp staff one day and for the next two days of our stay we were disappointed to hear two leaf blowers working next to the campsites even making conversation difficult. Finally drove away for some quiet.

Best place on a hot day.

We stopped here on a road trip to enjoy the water and the beautiful park. We wandered around the park and stuck, our feet into the river to cool off a bit. Lots of boaters, including jet boats, who thankfully turned a few times and gave a few land lovers a cooling off. It was great.

#1 Josephine County Park and getting better.

We have been coming to Grants pass for 30 years less last year because of the fire. We have stayed either at Schroeder or Griffin Parks. Always liked Griffin better but when family came with us we needed the cell service that Schroeder had. There are problems with that park, while nice, there are a lot of homeless people around and don't leave anything out. Griffin is peaceful and the Jetboats are awesome. That is what we come for to ride the Hellgate Jetboats. Difference in night and day. We were at Griffin 2 years ago and it was always good. This year was excellent. The camp host and employees have made this a 5 star Resort! They are to me commended. Now if you could bring Schroeder up to the same standard, it can be just as good. A day pass in Josephine County parks is only $5.

Nice riverside trip

It is about 25 minutes drive from town. Beautiful river front and close to nature. Good place to picnic or camping. If you are in town and have time then place to visit.

Camping in a yurt
Jul 2018 • Family
Beautiful setting on the Rogue River, stayed in a yurt with a nice view to the river. Had a great new deck and overall good camping accommodation, for a reasonable price.

Quiet, Scenic Park
May 2017 • Couples
Griffin's Park is such a beautiful, quiet place to visit with family and friends. It is the perfect place to just kick back and hangout. There is a fee if you are going to be there all day, but if you are just there for an hour or two then I don't think you need to pay for a whole day pass. In Griffin's park, they have a play set for kids and picnic tables. It has a tiny little shore and it's perfect for skipping rocks at. It is beautiful to take pictures as well. I highly recommend this be a day trip. Definitely worth it!
