In addition to their delicious wine, their tasting room, vineyards, and picnic groups are gorgeous. We hosted a birthday party there and it was the perfect location. They were wonderful hosts and we appreciated learning about their different wines, while we celebrated our friend's birthday. Be sure to use their tasting menu and compare each of the wines. I am... we decided to visit here a few months ago because it was listed on our passport. We were impressed with the setting - the tasting room is in a nice old farm style house surrounded by vineyards, which you can take a walk through. it's very clean and spacious, but both times we visited it was very busy and it... Beautiful vineyard situated in a valley with gorgeous views. On a clear day there are ample picnic tables situated around the tasting room/house for you to sip your wine & enjoy a snack or even a picnic. The staff is friendly & the pours are generous for the tasting. Something for everyone- great Pinot Gris & a divine Pinot Noir... More

It's a bit out of the way to get to David Hill but it's a beautiful scenic drive. The property is beautiful with vines rolling over hills all around the little country farmhouse that is their tasting room. I really liked the Farmhouse Red blend.

Expecting to find the winery not too far off the initial turnoff, my daughter and I almost gave up and turned around, after a long winding drive. I am so glad we didn't. The views are absolutely incredible, with long rows of planted grapevines overlooking a valley against a mountainous backdrop. The tasting room is in a cheerful yellow farmhouse... More

This past Saturday we headed over to Forest Grove to do some wine tasting with our daughter, her husband and infant granddaughter and 18 month old grandson. David Hill is the perfect winery for a picnic so we packed some crab sandwiches and other goodies and spent a couple of hours there eating, relaxing and enjoy the excellent wines. The... More

This was the third and final stop on our tasting day, and it was a beautiful and relaxing stop. We had previously gone to Oak Knoll winery in rural Hillsboro and Sake One (the nation's only Sake distillery) in Forrest Grove. The three of these are within very easy driving distance. David Hill had excellent but higher priced wine than... More

We visited David Hill Winery. The views from the property are just amazing. Their wine is too! The Chardonnay is enjoyable even for those who typically don't like Chardonnay. Not oakey, but very light and buttery. The Pinot Noirs were all excellent. Be sure to try the port, honey and apricot flavors abound.
