The drive along the Oregon Coast includes some very resplendent bridges. Time has taken a toll on some of them even eliminating a few, but thankfully the Siuslaw is still intact for everyone to cross and to enjoy as they enter or leave Florence.

Beautiful bridge with Gothic arches under the roadbed and an overall Art Deco design. We picked up a take away lunch and ate with the river and bridge in view. One of several Oregon bridges of similar design that still grace the Oregon coast highway.

Arriving in Florence, Oregon via the Siuslaw River Bridge is a breathtaking view! Beautiful columns at each side, glimpses of the city and amazing sand dunes. It’s a lovely portal to exploration.

The bridge is in Florence Oregon and we drove across it where the mouth of the river almost meets the ocean. After you drive south on the bridge turn right and you can drive out to a park to see the mouth where there are dunes and the ocean and a beach too. It has a 5.00 fee but it is worth it to see the mouth of the Suislaw River and you can drive to the end of the road to see it. Very pretty and it was clear when we went there. There were fishing boats out there, and people walking and hiking, and using their atv to go to the dunes. …
