It's the best raptor center we've been to. Their are many owls including the Great Horned and Snowy. A pair of bald eagles were nesting. The vultures are very friendly, coming to the edge of the cage to say hello. Their are also many other....More

Cascades Raptor Center is an easy ride from downtown Eugene - up into the forest. We arrived just as a kestrel viewing and talk had begun. The handler was friendly, well-informed, and clearly very into his work. Other staff were similarly enthusiastic. The birds there...More

This was an all around awesome experience with a great atmosphere and beautiful scenery. While we were there a hawk was circling over the center and all of the birds were calling out to him making for a beautiful assortment of calls.

I've visited the Raptor museum several times and sadly will not go again. The cost has always been an issue, $9.00- $12.00 for an adult, $6.00 for children, that's expensive for hiking around a few cages of wonderful raptors, those prices are for something else....More

I am very sorry that you had a bad experience. This is molting season, alas, and our 45 birds are molting, putting temptation in the way of any curious child! We do try to train our volunteers about the laws, of course, but apparently need...More

I am extremely fond of this place! They have several birds that they take in and help them out! It's big enough to see different birds, but not so big that you feel overwhelmed. It is wonderful for younger children. Some of the walking can...More

For those who admire birds of prey, this is a great stop. It is larger than we expected and the raptors were lovely. As a teacher, I would love to have this center's outreach team come for a school visit. The birds are great ambassadors.

The cages are large. Photos are possible. Sometimes the staff have a bird out for show and tell. You should check their web site for 'show times'. The center is well worth the vidit.
