Fun little flea market.

We were on the way home from California and one of our fellow travelers who is a flea market/bargain shopper addict suggested we stop here on our way home. The timing was perfect for us as we arrived around 10:30 am. Admission to the flea market is $7.50 between 8 am and 10 am but drops to $1.50 after 10. This particular morning, Eugene was still in the throes of an ice storm. The drive from the freeway took us past the U of O campus where we drove past trees encased in ice. Even though I'm sure it was an inconvenience for some, it was beautiful just the same. We paid our small admission fee and went on in. Like most flea markets there were people who had over-priced their merchandise but there were bargains to be had if you really looked. All four of us found something we just had to have. I scored a sound system that allows me to dock my old Ipod plus it's a AM-FM receiver. Just right for my shop, works fine and I only spent $10. I would go back some day if I was in the area. I might add, parking was free and there was a snack bar inside. Something there for everyone, collectors and hobbyists.

Flea market?
Jul 2016 • Couples
I remember the good days of my youth. Flea markets meant bargains, great finds, and a day full of looking. Picc-A-Dilly is none of these. What you have at the Lane Fairgrounds is a grouping of folks who always have top dollar prices marked on their goods- some items very nice, but can easily be found elsewhere for the same price. Food options, while there, are minimal and unpleasant tasting.
The only reason I have to frequent this outfit again is to find their overpriced item that i wouldn't mind owning a copy of, and then looking at ebay to see how much cheaper I can have it for.
If you want to spend the day out, I'm sure you could increase your fun by looking elsewhere. Garage sales won't charge you to walk-in.

KINDNESS FUN & GOOD DEALS
Jan 2016 • Solo
I live in Eugene & attend the Flea Market frequently. I have always had a good time and come home with wonderful useful and vintage items including presents for friends and family members that have wowed them. Many vendors are just plain folks downsizing so be aware and look sharp! I have found Chinese furniture, jade earrings, crystal, kitchenware, gardening supplies, plants...you name it!

Some markets are well attended and get crowded. I am 70 years old and short but I feel that folks are responsive and caring, so even when things get jammed, I speak up and folks make space.

It is wise to get there about 10 to 15 minutes before opening and well worth the wait as vendors are just finishing setting up and deals abound. Don't be afraid to make a deal or ask if someone will come down in price. If you go at 3 PM you can get in free, and there may still be some very good deals available. (For the cream, go before noon tho!)

I think the Piccadilly is one of the best buys and good times available for under $2.00 in Eugene!

Best way to spend your day!!!

The people who run this place are extremely friendly & accommodating. They go out of their way to help the vendors as well as the visitors. Just ask those at the info tables & they will try to locate something you are looking for if they can. I have been going to the flea market as a customer for about 17 years & 5 years of those 17 as a vendor. I look forward to seeing the regular vendors & customers. It is always a fun place even if I don't make my million. I believe prices are fair - of course there are always vendors who exaggerate the value of an item, but you can offer what you like. I do not believe the man who stated he was assaulted 1/100th of 1%. It is fun because you meet so many people of various walks of life & you always learn something new. You never know what you will find. Something you have always looked for, or something you never knew existed & must have. For fun or profit - please enjoy the flea market!!! You cannot beat the entertainment for the $1.50 fee from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Phillis

Lots of selection, great prices
Mar 2014 • Friends
I first visited PIccadilly Flea Market in the spring of 2014. A few weeks later, I became a merchant. There is a great selection of arts, crafts, jewelry, antiques, yard sale stuff, collectibles, etc., etc. Merchants are quite friendly and I love working this event.

My only complaint is that a lot of the merchants start packing up too early (2 PM), when the market it open until 4, and admission is charged until 3. But if the merchants have customers, they usually stay--so come on over and shop!

the people who run this are great

I have been to this market many times. the folks who run it are always friendly. And it is only $1.50 to get in so the guy who was whining about not getting his wife`s fee returned is a jerk. You are not entitled to a refund because some of the dealers are packing. In spite of which they did give him his money back. I am willing to bet he was being loud and obnoxious when they told him to leave and anyone who has a fit over $1.50 is not worth having there in the first place!

Not what it used to be
Unfortunately the economy has forced sellers to up their prices. Most of the booths are charging way more than their products are worth. Some booths are still fair and have some pretty cool stuff to look at.

I was assaulted at the piccadilly flea market
Nov 2011 • Couples
My wife and I entered the Piccadilly flea market at 2:20. The market ends at 4:00, and a lot of the vendors were packing up and leaving. I went up to the information table and politely asked for a refund. She gave me a refund, but refused to give my wife one. A man, who I now know as Fred and runs the flea market, came up to me and said that if we wanted to get in free we needed to come back at 3:00. He was very close to me so I asked him to back off. He came even closer slamming his abdomen against me. He came down with his hand and struck my hand very hard leaving a bruise. The bruise he left by injuring my hand makes what he did to me an assault, if I understand the law correctly. I did absolutely nothing to provoke this man, or give him any reason to remove me from the building. This is the kind of people that run the Piccadilly Flea Market. Be careful of what you say if you plan on attending the flea market.
