Our guests thought that it would be a good adventure to go up Butte Park. The view was great. Eugene doesn't have many tall buildings so you can see for several miles in all directions.

Don't be lazy: walk up! From the S. side, the views of the city will spread out before you. Follow the trails for some excellent bird watching, especially during migration seasons.

I went because it was near my hotel and I needed to pass time before heading to the Olympic trials. I drove to the top and didn't think there was much to see. View was okay of the city, but on one side you mostly got a view of a parking lot. Not sure if there was more to the... More

The park is up on a butte and there are great views of the city. You can either drive up to the top of the butte and then hike around or take one of the trails up to the top. On a clear day – even in the summer – you can see snow off on the distant peaks. There... More

This is right in the heart of downtown Eugene and so beautiful. It connects to all the other parks right there next to the river, beautiful, peaceful and serene. Perfect place for a morning run. The sounds of the river and beautiful trees added to the ambiance.

It was an overcast day but that didn't keep us from driving up to Skinner Butte Park. I'm very happy we did. There were so many paths to choose from, of course we were only there about an hour, and it is close to Eugene. If we lived here, I'm sure it would be easy to explore the park in... More

Skinner Butte is not too far from University of Oregon and it offers a wonderful view down to Eugene downtown district. You can drive to the top or park and climb up from different trails around the Skinner Butte Loop. Enjoy the exercise and break for lunch with the great view. Also a greater butte is only a 25min drive... More

Rollerblading the trail along here is a great way to work the legs, butt and improve balance (for other things) while enjoying the Willamette River and its nature.

Beautiful with walking trails and seating. Quiet and relaxing. We took our time and enjoyed the antics of squirrels and beautiful birds. We took a small picnic and enjoyed the serene views. It was the perfect weather temp.
