This is a nice short hike starting from the Alton Baker Park playground area. The hike isn't that steep or long, and the resulting city view is spectacular, weather permitting. We hiked up with some finger foods for a short picnic snack at the top while looking out over the city. There is also a road that you may drive... More

This park is along the Willamette River, and the top has history as the location of a founding cabin, an observatory, and now a park restored by the local Rotary club. There are a number of different trailheads you can use to walk to the top, or you can drive the one road to the view point parking area. The... More

It was gorgeous all the way to the top. The trail is narrow but great for seeing all the nature Oregon has to offer. Beautiful trees everywhere and getting to the top is a huge feat you will feel proud for completing. It's a great view and definitely worth it.

Skinner Butte Park is a central park in the green rainy city of Eugene Oregon! Very green...and very rainy! Go in the Summer!

This was a great walk from the Eugene Hilton. The views are nice. The park is not well maintained but nice enough. If you like to walk and fitness is your thing, then this is a great thing to do!

Skinner Butte is a nice city park with great views of the city of Eugene. The best views are from the parking lot area. There is a trail to some more views, but trees hide most of them. Main views at the top are downtown and off in the other direction is the Duck's football stadium. Short path to the... More

I took my four year old and we loved it, but even the easier trail-the one with stairs near the summit- is not an easy hike. It got really steep at the end so if you're not in decent shape or you have a little one with you beware :) the trail itself was through beautiful forest, and the view... More
