Had a small group floating and it was wonderful. Got on the river late but it went really fast. Went through a couple rough spots and the water was freezing but overall a wonderful trip! The weather was perfect and the water was very clean...More

You can see the rocks at the bottom. Nice cool waters, great place to walk, run or bike, but look out, TONS of annoying homeless people. Some were cooking, others bathing. We got yelled and cursed at by one who kept somehow getting in front...More

This is a shallow river of about three feet at best. But the current can be fast and the water, cold. You will sometimes see kayakers and inflatables drifting downstream. DaveHW

It's SO nice that this river isn't fenced-in, or over-developed on its banks in Eugene. Instead, there are walking trails, an endless bike system with countless bike and pedestrian-only bridges, wild riverbanks, gorgeous trails and islands and sunning rocks. Nature provides superb surprises here.

I have spent a lot of time on the Willamette river tubing and fishng. It's a long river so many different types of water but it is generally user friendly in the summer and warm enough to swim. Good fishing for trout, steelhead and salmon.

The Willamette meanders from the mountains down through the Willamette Valley and up to Portland. You can fish or boat on it, you can swim or White Water Raft on it. Great vacation place. and there are campgrounds on it too.

There are some nice area for bank fishing this river. The only thing that would make it better is if the bums found somewhere else to live. Way too many of them.

Especially when in the Eugene area. Many trails follow this pastoral flowing river. Either walk, jog or bike your way for hours!

The Willamette River runs directly through Eugene and offers endless entertainment opportunities! We often bike on the river paths which border the river on both sides. Massive Alton Baker Park and Skinners Butte Park provide lovely sites for running, picnics and water sports. Canoes and...More
