This is a wonderful addition to places to go around Eugene. The new bird blind has just opened and the work by the volunteers is as good as hiking to the to of the hill. Lots of vegetation, lots of people.

Sure, you can drive for an hour or more and be in the spectacular Cascades, but if you're looking for some great in-town hiking, Mt Pisgah is the place for you. There are sedate gravel paths in the arboretum proper; plus longer, more rugged trails in the surrounding Howard Buford Recreational Area. You can do a strenuous 10 mile circuit... More

Whether you want to hike up hills or stay on the level, this park has you covered. And it is enjoyable to see all the different plants too. Being located along a small river is a big plus. Pets welcomed.

Easy to get to from Eugene or Springfield. 1000 foot climb in 1.5 miles to summit is a good workout. Great views from the top.

Great hike with many options. Trails are generally well travelled and easy to traverse. The markers are easy to view and maps are available, benches allow for rest at various points on the trail and restroom facilities are available. The area has been beautifully maintained while staying in it's natural state. Once you reach the summit you have a fantastic... More

Never go alone, always be prepared. Bring a group of 3 or more. Steep hike to the top but beautiful views when you get there. Parking is 3$ and you must pay.

When you go over the bridge turn right for paid parking, beautiful trails, hauntingly gorgeous river views & the arborateum. If you turn left, there is a free parking lot. Across from this lot there is a paved trail to the top (loads of poison oak off trail everywhere but a great aerobic workout for you & perfect for dogs... More

For the hardy walkers, going to the top of Mt. Pisgah is a must. From there you get stellar views of Pleasant Hill, Springfield, and Eugene. It is so beautiful! There are other walking options of flat ground as well, with a myriad of trails, some of which go by the Middle fork of the Willamette River. Very pretty. Only... More
