There is nothing like Hayward Field in Track Town USA, since Nike and many runners were born in this legendary spot. Although it is being upgraded extensively for the 2020 world track event, it still holds a magical, history-making feel because so many local fans...More

Hayward has been torn down and won’t reopen until 2020 :( Should be beautiful when it opens though, and they are planning on hosting olympic trials too!

Hayward field is now being rebuilt and won't be available until next year. I have seen the 4 minute miles broken many time by multiple people. The running distance events are unbelievable. The truth is that the quality of the competition is unmatched. I can't...More

Great place to visit whether you are a local or a visitor. This place is a hidden gem and wonderful oasis of raptors and caring people who take care of them.

We took a 5 hour sail on the Bay of Banderas in a 20 passenger boat. Spotted mama whales & babies, porpoises, enjoyed lovely snacks,, lunch, cocktails, & a lovely beach stop doe snorting & swimming. Mellow, not a crazy party atmosphere, yet fun.

This was one of the best places to watch Track & Field. It reminded me of the old White City in London, England. Unfortunately it is no more. It has been demolished so that a much more modern structure can be built. I for one...More

Historic Hayward Field is the site of a new world record almost every year. More sub-four minute miles have been run here than anywhere. Be there!

Not an Eugene native nor year round resident. Live in Tucson in the winter. Anyway, I do remember Hayward Field was an Eugene treasure and hosted the NCAA track championships for many years. When we first arrived to Eugene in July drove by to see...More

Last time I checked, it's open for anyone to run around as long as there's no official school event, class, or some bigger happening going on. I used to run around on it all the time.

Don't plan on bringing anything into the venue. They want you to purchase "extras" from them, i.e. food/beverages. Best to leave the extras in your vehicle or at home, so you don't have to take them back if refused entry.
