This place is not a poker room any more and I don't think it has been for a long time. It is more of a live music place for folk and some rock blues stuff. I use to go to place place a long time ago and thought to give it another chance and I am glad I did. The place is small which I like and the bartender bent over backwards to make me happy about my drink. I am so picky with my drinks and I usually just settle for what they give me but he was set on making me happy. He made me a whole other drink just to make me happy!!!!…

When I visit a small town, there really isn't much to do because I am accustomed to national brands from big cities. However, the Astoria Bar was a little lesson for me that I can enjoy the uniquneness of small cities. A friend brought me to a bar that has "Poker Room" in iits name, which I wasn't all that impressed with since I'm not a poker player. Yet, I didn't have to be one as it was pretty cozy and nice as a bar by itself. A bunch of guys intensely playing poker on the otherside of the well-lit bar. It seemed fun but for about 30 seconds for me. I just enjoy the traditional pool, sports TV, nice boothes, and a friendly bartender to talk with. Clean restroom - I like that. Nothing outrageous, but a nice friendly cozy bar that's kept very clean.…
