If you are looking for the high-end wineries that are trying to compete with Napa and Sonoma valley wineries, this is probably not what you are looking for. If you want an excellent representation of Willamette Valley wines and great service and atmosphere, then this is more your style. My wife and I typically have a rule that we avoid wineries that have "Limo Parking" signs. They do have one, but I didn't see any limos! The staff was friendly and the wines were very good. No great lookouts over the valley or vineyards, but it feels like a real winery. Beautiful drive to get to it, too.

We had a great time at the tasting. The presenter gave a very informative presentation and the rose was very reasonable and added to our appreciation of the view. The cheese and meat plate could have used a few more items for the money.

Enjoyed our visit here, immensely. Great staff and very knowledgeable about their products. Also, they were helpful with local sites to visit. There is about a half of a mile of gravel to get to the winery, but it is worth it. Excellent tasting choices and they are helpful in directing you to fit your palate. Would visit again.

My husband and I were on vacation in Oregon and hit a few wineries. This one was by far the best. The tasting price was reasonable compared to some others and the wines suburb! We chose the reserve flight. Usually there are at least one to two in a flight we particularly do not like. On this one we liked every one. Wonderful wines!! We had six and got a bonus seventh. I would highly recommend this winery.

This winery was our first stop in our tasting tour of the Dundee Hills and was probably for the best. The wines were ok, but we have found better at most other wineries. For the $10 tasting fee, you will get to sample six wines.

I've been a fan of Erath for years and this was my second time visiting their lovely vineyard. The person who provided our tasting flight was very knowledgable and friendly. You can't go wrong with any of Erath's wines as they are some of the best in the Willamette Valley. We ended up bringing back each a bottle of the Knights Gambit Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The tasting flights are $10 (I believe), but are waved when you purchase $30 or more (a bargain, in my opinion).

Erath is just a few minutes off highway 99 and totally worth the drive. For around $5 per person they have a fabulous range of wines, which are all delicious.Every single employee is always gracious and knowledgeable. Enjoy the views of the vineyards from the tasting room and patio, they are remarkable! This is a must see! Also, be sure to try anything from the Leland vineyard it tends to be absolutely fabulous!

Tasting room staff made us feel like we were at a car lot. They were more interested in getting the highest "tasting fee" from you and they definitely cater to those that buy the "best" deal. Wasn't prepared for the "nose in the air" attitutude of staff. I actually think they do this so you won't ask them any technical questions about the wines because they probably don't know as they are there to hustle the "fee". Enjoyed the wine, even bought some but, since I can buy it at most wine shops, probably won't waste a day doing it again. In all fairness, we visited five other winery rooms and they were all the same. We are in our mid-60s and I do think that made a difference as most of staff was 20-30s and focused on the same age group. We were there to experience the wine not "party".

We are members of wine clubs at four other, small wineries. So I expected Erath, which has nationally distributed wine, to have a big, very commercial feel.

Not so! The tasting room was small, there were no other customers while we were there (January on a weekday is very off season for wineries!), we had an excellent time with our host. Informative, straightforward, no rush, no pressure. We took 90 minutes for the tasting.

The wine in the tasting was all much more limited production than their wide distribution wines, every bit as good as the typical "boutique winery". Erath is one of the oldest vineyards and wineries in the Willamette Valley and has a distinguished history. Glad to see them keeping that early feel alive. As an added bonus, the wine is very reasonably priced and the tasting fee lower than average.

Wife and I visited several vineyards/wineries while visiting the area from Dallas in mid September. Nothing really stood out to us on this one. Nice but nothing spectacular. But that's one of the great things about wine and winery experiences - everyone has their own tastes and preferences.
