This is a lovely park to watch the whales and the ocean. The whales are here year-around and close-up. Parking is adjacent and if not, there is public parking across the street and up the hill a bit. Rough seas bring water up over the...More

We spent almost two hours here watching the whales in the bay. I need to spend money on a boat trip. We saw five whales and one right up next to the shore/rocks about 50 yards in front of us where we were eating our...More

If you can find a place to park in Depoe Bay in the summer, after all your shopping for souvenirs, take some time to relax and just watch the ocean. Look for whales.

This area is easily available to those traveling #101. There is plenty of parking and a charming series of shops and restaurants across the street. With some luck, you will spot whales while strolling or sitting here. There are no fees to enjoy this spot.

Good wave watching in addition to the whales. numerous restaurants in the town as well as all the usual beachy stores. nice to have a comfortable perch where you can let the whales come to you.

Located right along Hwy 101, we were thrilled to find several whales playing directly below us in the bay. We've been on several cruises, but this was the closest we'd ever seen whales. Apparently this is the time of year that they come closer to...More
