The walk down the stairs onto the boats is pretty awesome. The way back up the stairs with a bag full of fish is steep and tiresome. These boats have a captain and crew geared to help you get fish. They usually deliver, with plenty of good quality fish. The trip out to catch bottom fish is usually a pretty... More

Seeing a humpback and riding through the blow spray was aweseome! I had a blast, for this Florida girl the seas were rough but nothing I couldn't handle, several people on the boat were seasick. We saw lots of birds, fish, sea lions and two humpback whales! It was awesome, they didn't get real close to the boat but close... More

There was not much to see. Boats where small and had to stand. For the price it was not a very enjoyable thing to do.

A reasonable charge (plus a discount for seniors) for an opportunity to depart under the Depoe Bay bridge like McMurphy and his fellow inmates in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Hanging on and taking pictures at the same time might be difficult if you are a land-lubber but its worth it. I got some good pictures of the gray... More

I grew up fishing, and always do a charter trip once a year on vacation no matter where I go. This by far was the best run, and fun trip I have been on. You get it all. Crabbing, salmon, and bottom fishing. If the spot you're at isn't hitting the fish, Brad the Captain of Mr Max brings you... More

Been coming to The Tradewinds for over a decade and every year it seems we top the previous year's trips! This time out, we decided to go on a Whale Watch the day we arrived in Depoe Bay. Took an Afternoon cruise with Captain Dustin on the Morningstar and we were spotting whales less than 5 minutes after we left... More

This was a great charter. We were bottom fishing for rock fish and did not have to go far out to start catching fish. The water was fairly calm and only a few people got seas sick. There was a limit of 7 per person and almost everyone caught the limit. The crew, especially Gene, was very helpful in getting... More

There were 7 in our party including the 5 year old grandson. Great time seeing 5 gray whales and one Humpback. This was a 60 minute cruise and a perfect outing. Take your coat and be prepared to get wet especially if you hang out on the bow of the boat. It was great to get out on the ocean,... More

Took a bottom fishing plus crab trip with three people in our group, twenty total, on the Sunrise. Skipper and deckhand were great. Highly recommend that boat; try to book it. We did at least as good as the other boats and better than some in terms of fish/person (close to limit on a rougher day). The down side was... More

Was told that bottom fishing was doing great, we only came back with about 4 fish per person. We were told crabbing was great, we came back with about 7 crabs per person. Instructed to come back for the cooked and clean crab to find out that someone stole a tote of crab decreasing our share by 2 crabs per... More
