About
For more than 45 years, our family has grown wine grapes, acting as stewards of the land on the hillside we call home. Since then our vision has grown to include Durant Vineyards Winery & Tasting Room, award winning Durant Olive Mill extra virgin olive oil, Durant Culinary, Durant Body Care, a specialty plant nursery, gift shop, overnight lodging, event spaces and expansive gardens. Our history here in the Willamette Valley – now spanning 5 generations – began with English Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Italian Prunes, and Cherries. In 1973 our family was among the first in Oregon to attempt growing wine grapes in the Dundee Hills. We believe that great wine is not created in the cellar; it is nurtured and shaped by the land. Durant Vineyards wines reflect the true nature of each vintage, the unique terroir of the Dundee Hills and our family’s meticulous farming methods.

This is my favorite place to take out of town visitors. The scenery is beautiful and the winery, Durant at Red Ridge, has a wide variety of wonderful, well-priced wine. Also, they offer a fabulous wine tasting experience in a private room if you call in advance. The other reason I love this place is their gift shop. It is about 100 yards away from the tasting room and features tastings of their estate-grown olive oils and balsamic vinegar. I highly recommend stopping at Red Ridge Farms.

We had a lovely time looking at and sampling oil and vinegar. The oils are delicious. We never felt rushed or pressured. The grounds were lovely. We hope to return in warmer weather.

We make coming to this winery a yearly event! It is so lovely to sit in the Adirondacks and sip their amazing wines! There is also a wonderful mile walk around the vineyards, lavender field and olive garden. I would highly recommend this place!

Small place without much around. A few wines. More olive oil than wine. There are some plants for sale and a limited gift shop.

Hello, We are sorry as it sounds like you did not get to experience the full property. We are out in the countryside, but have a full service winery and tasting room with over 75 acres in wine grapes, 17 acres of olive trees, and half an acre lavender field all within walking distance from our gift shop, olive mill, tasting room and nursery yard, as well as a one mile walking/hiking trail. Our wine flight consists of 4 wines and our olive oil tasting bar varies, but usually has a selection of 7-8 varieties of extra virgin olive oil, fused oils, and several specialty vinegars to sample. We offer seasonal classes, wine and harvest dinners, music nights, and our Olio Nuovo festival in November where we see over 6,000 people come through the property in a weekend. We also offer a tour of the Durant Olive Mill every day at 11am through summer so folks can see how olive oil is made. Thank you, The Staff at Red Ridge Farms

This was a wonderful and different kind of tasting in the valley. They make exceptional olive oil and have many other goodies. We would've bought everything if we had a way to get it home. Still left with olive oil, gourmet salts, honey, chocolate and cook books! Score!
The staff is so knowledgable and friendly. Check it out.

If you're looking for good olive oil, balsamic vinegars, garden art, and gifts, stop in at the Red Ridge Farms. We included it in our destination of area wine tours, and I'm so glad we did. We had so much fun trying out various oil an vinegar samples, and came back the second day to shop for gifts and garden items. They also have a separate building for wine tasting if you're so inclined. Do plan to visit this place! It's a nice respite from all the wine tasting you'll do while in the area.

Our family visited Red Ridge Farms during a day trip outside of Portland, Oregon. Besides the winery there is a garden with plants and pots for sale and a store offering explanations and sampling of olive oils and vinegars, which were quite good. They sell items with lavender, unique salts and other gift ideas and were getting ready for the annual lavender festival. They were very nice and gave us a mini tour of the olive oil press and factory. The scenery at the winery is great and we purchased some flights and enjoyed them while overlooking a great view with a "picnic lunch" which had cheeses, veggies and bread. The amount of wine provided in the flights, however, was rather skimpy given the price. There was barely a couple of sips per glass. I felt it was hardly enough to even get an impression of whether you liked it or not. We could have spent additional money for a glass instead of a flight, which we would have done if the price was more reasonable. It really felt like they were taking advantage of potential wine buyers.

Durant offers different tours of the property, which is scenic and tranquil, especially the gardens near the gift shop.
