A little used area for viewing abundant wildlife

Snag Boat Bend is a small part of the Finley National Wildlife Refuge. This component is separate from the more notable part south of Corvallis. To reach Snag Boat Bend you must travel 10 miles south of Hwy 34 on Peoria Road. The parking lot is just off Peoria Road to the West. There are several loops or hikes available from one to 2.9 miles. Bring your camera and binoculars because this site on the next to the Willamette River should provide views of ducks, osprey, beaver sign, plus many other birds. The area is open year round.
