Caprice now Rellik Vineyards

Beautiful, easy to get to vineyard just outside of Jacksonville! Very friendly staff and prices that won't break the bank! Five dollars for tasting five wines! Great relaxing seating areas surrounded by an orchard and alpacas. Robert showed us around the grounds and was very friendly, made us feel at home! Ample parking and in a nice quiet area. Highly recommended!

All This and Wine Too

Alpacas are very curious and these are lovely and sweet. Came on a Sunday and enjoyed 3 wines. Lee Stewart on the keyboards made an even better experience. The winery is just out of Jacksonville.

Great Wine Tasting and Alpacas!
Dec 2016 • Family
Great little winery that is big on Cabs. I loved it Other wines, too, but I was happy to taste so many different Cabs! The tasting room is large with tables and woven items from the alpaca yard made on the property. After buying your sweater/scarf/hat, etc, or buying your hand spun yarn, you can go visit the specific alpaca who contributed to your purchase! We had a small picnic inside the tasting room but would have sat outside if it had been warmer. Really a great place! I visited with my adult daughter.

Fun place to touch alpacas and sip some wine
Jul 2016 • Couples
Great little winery just outside of Jacksonville limits. Of special note are the Alpacas. The tasting room and wine is alright. This is a mom-and-pop shop. What's fun is when the owner invites you to go to the Alpacas and feed them the apples that have fallen from the adjoining trees. Beware--these guys will spit on you if they think you are holding back. It happened. Its gross. It was fun. You learn a lesson, clean up, and then go have another glass of wine. A good adventure here!

Friendly staff and great wine!

My mom and I were in the area, so we thought we'd stop by Caprice Vineyards to do some wine tasting. What a treat! The owner, who helped us, was knowledgeable, friendly, informative and chatty. She was wonderful, and she made our tasting experience that much better. As for the wines, they were lovely. I'm typically not that fond of Chardonnay, but theirs was excellent. I also liked the 2011 Cab Sav and the Viognier. Bottles are reasonably priced at about $20-$25 per, and we ended up taking home a few. They also have events like the annual alpaca shearing and live music.

I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and are keen to taste and/or buy some delicious wine, engage in friendly conversation, buy some products made from alpaca wool, or listen to live music.

Wonderful Cabernet!
Apr 2016 • Friends
We went to Caprice Vineyards today. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Their Cabernet and Claret are both beautiful rich reds. Today we feasted on the large cheese, meat, olive plater and were treated with and a hibachi dish with shrimp, vegies and chicken. It was all delicious. Take a walk around the Alpacas and Lamas. Inside you will find unique items related not only to wine but beautifully hand crafted, knit, crochet, felted hats, scarves, purses, etc. They will be shearing on June 4th and will have spinning classes. The owners were just very nice and fun to visit with. Check them out if you have the opportunity. You won't be disappointed!

Afternoon Drive
Dec 2015 • Friends
On one of the days in Jacksonville we decided to take in a few of the local vineyards. This was our first stop of the day. In addition to the vineyard, tasting room it is also an alpaca farm. The store has many alpaca wool items for sale. The hostess was very nice an knowledgeable about the wine and the alpaca items. The wine was very good, we ended up buying a bottle of the claret there which we had later in the trip at our room.
