Great little winery just outside of Jacksonville limits. Of special note are the Alpacas. The tasting room and wine is alright. This is a mom-and-pop shop. What's fun is when the owner invites you to go to the Alpacas and feed them the apples that have fallen from the adjoining trees. Beware--these guys will spit on you if they think... More

My mom and I were in the area, so we thought we'd stop by Caprice Vineyards to do some wine tasting. What a treat! The owner, who helped us, was knowledgeable, friendly, informative and chatty. She was wonderful, and she made our tasting experience that much better. As for the wines, they were lovely. I'm typically not that fond of... More

We went to Caprice Vineyards today. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Their Cabernet and Claret are both beautiful rich reds. Today we feasted on the large cheese, meat, olive plater and were treated with and a hibachi dish with shrimp, vegies and chicken. It was all delicious. Take a walk around the Alpacas and Lamas. Inside you will find unique... More

This is a very friendly family run vineyard. Owners Jim and Jeanie are great to talk with. If you want a peaceful place to have a bottle of wine this is it.

Friendly and beautiful winery and the great thing is its close-in location. One can enjoy the attractions in both Central Point and Jacksonville, making for a really fun outing to share with family, friend and visitors. I would recommend it to anyone. The llamas are a lot of fun as well.

Great hospitality at this small vineyard which is an Alpaca wonderland outside and in the shop where handmade wonderful woolens will entice you. The wines are wonderful too. More for the whole family to enjoy in the apple orchard.

Some wineries are big and kind of industrial. This is a place that is warm, welcoming and makes really special wines. Be sure to make time so you and the kids can meet the alpacas -- they have an impressive group, and there are few places to go wine-tasting where you have additional features like this. I loved their cabernet... More
