Friendly, knowledgeable sommelier. Comfortable, roomy, artistic environment. I'd go back again to taste and purchase K&M wines. My out-of-town guests enjoyed the wines and the landscape paintings, coat hooks made from vintage wood-planing tools, and tasteful notecards (just a few, not too many) to purchase. Walking through nearby park in the gloaming, quite enjoyable.

We visited Oregon's Willamette Valley to find small production pinot noir, this was a nice find in the town of Carlton. Tasting rooms are fun and eclectic in style, this downtown tasting room is warm, casual, yet also intriguing with its atmosphere. We got to speak to the owner who was very excited to share his wine vision with us. The wines are very good and at approachable prices. We were especially impressed with the Rhone varietals which gave us a break from pinot noir for several days. But the pinot noirs were excellent as well.

This was the last tasting room of the day for us and so glad we did "just one more!" The wines are outstanding and our server and Ken were so informative and personable! Definitely add this one to your list!

My wife and I visited Portland, OR over the 4th of July weekend and had the enormously good fortune to visit K & M Wines on Sunday in Carlton. Carlton itself is a quintessential small town brimming with charm and, at least on July 3rd, providing a peaceful riding experience for several bicyclists pedaling along on tandems. Because it was the holiday weekend, we worried slightly that the place would not be open. Au contraire! The door was open and Ken (the K of K & M) was there effusively greeting walk-ins with the kind of warm friendliness increasingly rare in too many locales. Although Ken himself was a pleasure to converse with, the piece de resistance of our visit was the array of delightful wines he had on display for tasting. We began with a beautiful Viognier, then a nicely fruity Chardonnay - my wife, a devoted Chardonnay fan, could have stopped with that one and been very pleased. We both are ambi-winestrous, though, and enjoyed the migration to K & M's fine Pinot Noirs. My personal tastes tend to favor more robust reds and I found the Grenache a fine example - the Cabernet Franc as well. All of that said, when the Quail Run Vineyards Syrah jumped out of the tasting glass to slap my tastebuds into rapt attention, I was slain. The visit was a treat in every sense of the word!

You can't go wrong with K & M tasting. Ok I am an Alchemist Member (Kens name for the wine club) but that's only part of the evidence of my affection for the wines and the ambience. Cool, non- pushy fun tasting of some of the areas best wines. Not just Pinot either but can franc and Syrah...yum. And you still have some money in your wallet after a taste and modest purchase. He also stocks fun and classy items for sale too plus foodie stuff. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our visit to K&M. Ken was fun to visit with. Wines were very good! I love that they donate the tasting fee to the local food bank. Cheers.

Very unassuming from the street (I believe this was my old dentist office when I was a kid), but magnificent inside! Ken is a wonderful host and I was really impressed with the Viognier and Grenache. I'm usually Chard-o-no-way, but even enjoyed this one too. Well done Ken & Mauro!

This review is from my bands view. We get invited to play K&M a few times per year.. they treat us very well. Corral Creek Bluegrass loves to play K&M Wines. So many folks come and enjoy their wine and paired snack foods..We love to sing with and along with them..Ken and Mauro treat us so well..

K&M Wines has become a must-do for us when we are in the Portland area visiting family. Their wines are excellent and we've bought cases of it. All the folks there are wonderful hosts. Our daughter is a member of their wine club, so we've been able to take part in some of their events.
