This was our second visit to the cannon beach escape room and we had just as much fun as the first time! The puzzles are fun and clever and varied enough that my two eleven-year-olds could contribute. We had to ask for a hint this time and the host had us on our way quickly without directly giving anything away. Very fun way to spend a hour! Would highly recommend!

Our family has done about ten escape rooms (Seattle, Orlando, Whistler) and we found Cannon Beach ER to be refreshingly awesome. One Eyed Jack is a simple one room experience with basic production values but the puzzles are clever and the flow is very well done. Rye was an excellent host. If you’ve never done an ER, this would be a perfect introduction to the hobby.

Had so much fun doing the pirate-themed room! We needed a rainy day indoor diversion that was safe (from COVID) and this fit the bill perfectly. It was only our family in the room and they sanitize very well between groups. My favorite part was that it was perfect for my 2 10-year-old boys to feel a part of the team. The puzzles were not so hard that they couldn't contribute, but they were hard enough that we all felt a sense of accomplishment when we figured them out. So many escape room places are for adults only, and I was excited to share this with my kids. Can't wait to go back and do their other room!

This was an excellent alternative for a family-friendly, rainy day activity. We had never done an escape room before. We did the “One Eye Jack” scenario and it was a lot of fun. There were just two of us and we did the session with several “strangers” but it’s amazing how much fun it was playing with people we didn’t even know. Cost is a little high compared to a movie, for example. But it was certainly exciting and memorable.

This was my first experience with an escape room, so I don't have much to compare it to. We did the camp theme room and finally solved it with less than a minute remaining. It was fun to try to solve with our group that ranged from age 9 into the 60's. We did end up calling in a couple of clues, which really helped solve it. This would be a fun activity on a rainy day.

We did the camp theme room with a multi-generational group. It was clever and challenging - but felt highly accomplished when we solved the puzzles and managed not to get expelled from summer camp. Yay! From our group 70's to youngest a 8 it was a whole lot of fun.

This was our second escape room. We loved the pirate theme and found the puzzles challenging and a real sense of accomplishment when we solved them. The staff person was friendly and helpful and made the experience fun.

My large family group (9) had a fantastic time with the escape room. We had a wide variety of ages and none of us had tried an escape room before--we got out with less than a minute to spare!

There were enough puzzles that all 9 of us were running around the whole time, and several puzzles were large enough that we all got to collaborate. It was a great experience, no one was left out, and the difficulty was just right! (We did the easiest room since none of us were familiar with escape rooms. The other ones are more difficult.)

We used a couple hints, but none of the puzzles were too obscure or relied on background knowledge. If you feel nervous about the experience, I encourage you to try it!

My daughter talked us into going to The Escape Room while on our vacation in Cannon Beach. We opted for the Captain Jack experience and had an absolute blast, even though we ended up walking the plank. This was our first time so there was a bit of a learning curve to understand how to solve the puzzles, but they were challenging and fun. We would definitely do this again on our next trip.

To note, it was a warm day when we did this. Only the 3 of us were in the room and it was warm. I can't imagine having 7 other folks in the room and being comfortable.

This was the perfect addition to our day at the beach. The friendly staff set us up to make our way through a thoughtful, clever, and challenging set of clues to escape One-Eyed Jack. We fell short, but it was still great fun!
