In Memory of the men and women of Colombia County who served in the Korean and the Vietman War
Aug 2018 • Couples
The people from Oregon are proud for serving the Korean and Vietnam wars.

I have seen the Blue Star in different places.

They honored these heroes. They fought for the United States.

There was a canon as well near the plaque.

Worthwhile to see!

Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Canby
May 2018 • Couples
A very moving Memorial with a Huey hovering, and a statue with a vet carrying a wounded soldier that is so detailed it will amaze you. Memorial bricks with family and friends names dedicated to those who served.

Like a Scene Out of Time
Mar 2017 • Family
It's not a huge memorial. But with the UH-1 Huey hovering overhead and the statue placed as though the soldier and his friend are waiting for extraction, you feel as though you have stepped into a moment. You can tell that there was a lot of love and care that went into the planning of this place of memory and honor. My boys never pass up an opportunity to stop and scamper in the shadow of the helicopter--they appreciate all who serve and have served to protect this country, and it is beyond cool to them that such a memorial could include an actual military helicopter.

Blue Star Memorial
Mar 2017
This is a great Vietnam Era Memorial that was originally conceived and eventually led in the building there of by Mike Breshears of Canby. The Land it is on was donated by Burgerville, where you can park. It is located right on the the Highway coming from the south on 99E. You will be impressed by the statues and Huey Helicopter on display.

Stop and think
Jan 2017
This spot is dedicated to Vietnam veterans, though the bricks will tell you we honor all veterans. Lots of history to think about, as well as the statues and helicopter. This was a labor of love and it shows.

Cool sculpture honoring of Vietnam vets
Jun 2016 • Couples
This is a compelling sculpture of a med-evac chopper coming in to rescue an injured soldier being carried by his soldier brother.

I drive by this daily. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. This is what was happening when i was a kid. This sculpture is compelling.

Drive by and check it out. Stop and get out to take a look.

A beautiful memorial to those who served in an unpopular war.
