On the banks of the gorgeous Metolius river, this hatchery is attractive, informative, and in one of the best nature settings in the pacific northwest.

Parking lot was small so parking was at a premium but there were nice restroom facilities. Take a quick walk around the "lake" area to see all of the amazing trout. Then take a hike along the Metolius River for views of the beautiful blue/green water!

So neat seeing all the fish. They come in all sizes and a blast to feed them too. Would recommend this just for the scenery as the river took my breath away.

We showed up after their office was closed so we didn't get to do a tour or anything but we got to walk around and read about it on our own. It amazed me how big it is and how beautiful it was. Lots of info on how the hatchery works. I think we spent about an hour there just... More

We love the Wizard Falls fish hatchery. A learning opportunity for kids and adults alike! You can spend as little as 45 minutes and still have a great time learning!

Took my wife and toddler. Perfect outing especially if you are staying in the Metolius area. Workers explained everything and were very friendly. Also a hiking path nearby.

The fish hatchery program has been going on for decades and it's interesting to look at the small fish that are staged for either local release or they are taken to another hatchery. Would have been nice to have a ranger who could answer questions.

Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery has a great little lake at the end of the hatchery that has a wonderful large population of fish that have "escaped" from the hatchery and grown to very large size. It is fun to feed them and watch the water boil as they compete for the food pellets (available for a quarter from vending machines).
