We called ahead and even though they said they weren't really open, they would be there bottling and to stop by. A tiny operation a few miles out of town, this single building houses two stills and probably a dozen or more large imported French and Hungarian barrels containing various flavored brandy's, all hand mashed, cooked, distilled, aged, bottled, and labelled. The owners walked us through their operation with great pride in describing their technique and providing a complete history of the business. (Close ties to the Gallo family) We tasted several bottles and our favorite was definitely the limited quantity 20 year Pinot Noir Brandy. The berry liqueurs are also quite good. We were sorry to hear that the owner was due to retire and without a buyer the operation would cease and be sold off. We definitely recommend visiting while you can - and if you have the gumption - buy it!

What a great place! There were six of us, and the owner greeted us so warmly. He patiently waited while some in our group used the restroom. He then gave a tour and explanation of the distillery and how everything was made. He was patient with all of our questions. We were able to meet the owners wife too, who was so kind. A tasting of all their products was only $5.00! The brandy was very, very good. And we were surprised at how good the Grappa was. Smooth and not at all like some of the rubbing alcohol flavors we've had in the past. The Blackberry Brandy was great too, and would be good over ice cream. We purchased three bottles. These people are passionate about their brandy, and know what they are doing! We hope to call them and order more when we run out! Thanks for a great visit!
