Nice beachcombing on a Foggy Day

A short walk on a trail leads to the beach. There are restrooms at the parking lot and lots of fun to be had scavenging the beach at low tide.

This is a must see/stop. Great views, beautiful rocks, curving beach, lots of driftwood. I wish we could have spent a day here.

While camping at Harris Beach State Park, we decided to drive a few miles north to check out this beach. We ended up liking it much better than the ever popular Harris Beach because it was less populated and had everything you could want in a beach: few people, tide pools, lots of cool-looking stacks, and a large expanse of... We came in at low tide, had a great time playing in the rocks and tide pools looking for hermit crabs and shells. Nice quiet little beach with wonderful photo opportunities. And it's free to play.

This beach doesn’t have crowds, development, and cheesy tourist distractions. For us, that's good, and we thoroughly enjoyed stopping at Oregon beaches. I wish we could have stayed there a little longer.

This beach does not have any facilities for changing. The beach has both sandy and rocky areas. We were looking for sea life in tidal pools and found some amongst the rocks.

My daughter and I were in Medford on the way to a softball tournament when we decided to make the drive to the Oregon coast to see it for the first time. After a winding but scenic 2 hour drive we arrived in Brookings. After a quick search of local beaches we saw the nice reviews of this beach and... More

Go down off HWY 101 to access Lone Ranch Beach, 4 miles north of Brookings Oregon. After parking - walk toward beach and water then go left away from the picnic tables and people - there is a lovely area there with tide pools at low tide and a rock strewn beach much different from the other beach here. Swallows... More

What I most loved about this beach was how many scenic options there were. Being a photographer I could really appreciate all the seastacks and head lands that you could explore here. And best of all, not many people. There are both paved pathways and also many hiking trails. A win win in my book!

Just a short walk to the beach, the Lone Ranch Beach is a great beach for exploring at low tide as there are lots of rocks at the water level. There are picnic tables with a beautiful view of the beach.
