We arrived late in the day do we only had a few hours to walk around. The tide was out so we were able to access much more then when the tide is in. There were many people while we were there and it didn't have that crowded feeling. Plenty of parking, great views, beautiful end to our day.

Harris State Beach in Brookings, OR is a wonderful park. My husband and I have a large RV and we had no problem driving thru the roads and backing into our site. Since we visited in late October there were great sites available. We chose A18 which backed up to the ocean view. The park is on a hill overlooking... More

Right on the beach! Several spots have ocean views. I had not heard of cable hook up at a state park, but they have them here at Harris Beach. Just a short walk down the hill to the beach.

We live quite a way inland and this is not the closest beach. we can hit Socal in 9 hours. We chose this one because we only got 60 mins on our last road trip. The town Brookings is delightful. We love collecting things off this beach. Brambling and brething in the air.

Nov. 1 will be closing for 7 months! (I’m told affects power, sewer, cable, yurts, bathrooms, and repaving of pads and roads) Found no mention of this when trying to reserve a site, but thru a note tacked to entry kiosk. Always a favorite. Hiked all the trails to beach and a trail to town, and a bike trail to... More

We discovered that there are many State Parks in Southern Oregon. This one did stand out has it seemed to have many amenities. Plenty of parking, washrooms, trails, tide pools, views, easy beach access for swimming and a campground. Would love to go back and camp there.

Stopped here on our way back from the Redwoods to check it out. Was really crowded with people and since it's so close to Brookings looked like a lot of locals out enjoying a day on the beach. Looked like a nice place to gather for a picnic with family and friends but a little too crowded for us..

We camped at this park, and visually it is stunning with a wonderful beach, BUT camping is extremely compromised by noise. A lumber mill operates next door, and backup alarms and the sound of lumber being cut and moved permeates the campground. Very unfortunate. Apparently no noise codes apply to this mill. Even in the dead of night you will... More

This is a very busy park. It is very beautiful and the tide pools are great. A wonderful place for the kids to explore.

A real gem located close to Brookings right on the ocean. Great camping facilities. Best to reserve your space since this is a popular park. Fabulous ocean scenery and lots of trails. Many great family memories at this park.
