We purchased the Tubes & Float w/Shuttle package and it was easy-peasy beginning to end. We bought online, drove to the designated parking lot, they walk you thru the stations to get wristbands, safety review, lifejackets, you can purchase non-alcoholic beverages, sunscreen or buy a dry bag, etc, and they'll securely store your keys, too. They seriously thought of everything & customer service is A++!

It works like clockwork, you check in, the shuttle picks you up, the tubes are already loaded behind or they'll load your own, it drops off right at water, then picks you up perfectly on time at the very end. It's about 2hrs total. The fish ladder (baby rapids) is absolutely the best and you can get out and do it several times. You can also avoid the fish ladder by pulling off prior & walking past it. It's not a guided tour & no lifeguards, but you don't need it. It gently floats you downstream.

My only minor complaint is that our shuttle bus driver drove a little too fast & erratic and it was absolutely frigid cold on the bus at picked up. Thankfully, it's only a 5min drive back to the parking lot to dry off.

Tip: Lift your booty when you go over the lil rapids, bruised mine pretty badly. Lots of people flipped over in the rapids using their own flimsy tubes, so please just rent the nice, big sturdy ones. Don't wear flip flops, as many lost theirs along the way, but they did work well for paddling their floats. :) Wear a waterproof cellphone holder, as you will get soaked in the rapids. The $6 one I bought at Walmart worked great!

I did a 24 kayak rental so we could get an early start the next morning at Hosmer Lake. Staff was great, hand sanitizer and wash station outside door, restroom open inside. Aaron loaded the kayak on the rack and checked to make sure everything was secure. In the past I have rented paddle boards and kayaks on site and paddled upstream and then back, no loading and unloading, great fun. Wish they opened earlier in the summer.

My husband and I had a great experience with the Tumalo Creek rentals. I rented a stand up paddle board and kayak from their Headquarters location. You head out straight from their dock without having to worry about transporting the boards anywhere. You each get a life vest and a brief information session on how to use the equipment if you are new to it. Was easy to book online and it was a super easy check in process. Everyone was wearing masks and tried to practice social distancing. If you head out from the Headquarters, you go upstream past four bridges then back to Headquarters. It took us almost the full two hours. It was my first time stand up paddle boarding and I am proud to say that I did not fall in once! The current was pretty placid most of the way but there were some moments when the wind really made for some struggle moments. It was a great full body workout. I had so much fun and would love to go again and again.

Attended the Eddyline demo day at Tumalo Creek Kayak. Heidi and Kelly helped with trying out a couple different kayaks and paddles and getting PFD properly set up, all very professional. Enjoyed conversation with Ethan Ebersold the Eddyline rep. Employee inside (sorry, forgot his name) explained the new Waterway Access Permit process. A good day!

This was a great experience with both a good amount of basic instruction and getting out in the rapids and gaining experience. We learned basic strokes and paddling techniques. The instructors were also able to help some people who were a bit more experienced as well. Sunday was a great day because we got to go out on about a 3 hour kayak. The instructors were really good. They made me feel comfortable and confident even though it was my first time whitewater kayaking.

Took a day-long, Intermediate Skills kayaking class at Elk Lake with Topher. Got my stroke cleaned up a bit, learned some new strokes, and I can confidently get back in a 17.5 ft kayak should I have to wet exit. Topher was great the whole way through. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand, gave feedback in a clear manner, and was encouraging the whole day. I would recommend this class to anybody looking to up their paddling game.

We rented paddleboards to paddle on Sparks Lake. Reserving the boards was easy online and their location is very convenient. We had some issues with our equipment the first time around, but Jacob handled our situation professionally and with great customer service. He helped us get the boards strapped in our truck. We were back on the water in no time and had the MOST AMAZING day exploring Sparks Lake. Highly recommend paddleboarding on one of the Cascade Lakes. Thanks guys!

Took the Full-Weekend White Water Kayaking immersion class with Kyle and Tim and cannot say enough about how incredible this course was! Kyle and Tim were excellent instructors. They broke down each step, were extremely patient, walked you through everything, always made you feel safe and prepared and were extremely encouraging. I'd highly recommend this course for anyone interested in or looking to get into white water kayaking! Thank you so much for a great weekend!

Excellent class on recreational kayaking. Learned the physics of the water, boating, and safety. Teacher was superb and made us each feel completely safe on water. Kayaks used were in excellent shape and offered variety of styles. Scheduling was easy.

I took Tumalo's SUP Whitewater intro weekend course this weekend with Sue and Kelli and I had some of the most ridiculous fun I've had in ages! I just wanted to say thank you because we flew up from San Diego for this course and it was clear that all the Tumalo Staff we interacted with: Sue, Kelli, and some Q&A with Cameron are incredibly passionate about their work/sport! Sue is a kind/serious/insightful teacher. And Kelli really stepped up for the river day and gave us a stellar river day! Both of them nicely balanced the edge of too much feedback and just enough to make sure we knew what we should try to improve on the next run. They both were very knowledgeable and approachable and made a day on the river (already a delightful thing) an excellent way to spend the weekend. I appreciated their enthusiasm when we were improving and their friendly mirth when we swam! I will be looking to get more whitewater SUP in my future.
