We were lucky to be here on a clear day. It is just an amazing 360 view of the area. We were able to see Mt. Jefferson, the sisters, and other mountains. We drove up but many others hiked up -- long hike! Limited parking at top. A don't miss attraction!

Free to enter, limited parking at the top but that is also free. The view is simply amazing!!! On a clear day you can see all the way to Washington State. Pet friendly park with dog walking stations on the walking path. If nothing else, it is really neat to stand on the top of an old volcano and imagine... More

Great overview of area. It was a bit cloudy and way windy but a good view. On a clear day you would see all the volcanoes (hopefully not in action!.

Amazing 360° view of bend. Absolutely stunning! Don't miss this, it's free and beautiful. Lots of people were jogging/running up the hill, so it's great for a workout for those inclined.

An easy drive or walk up Pilot Butte to enjoy a panoramic view of Bend and the mountains to the west. Bring your camera for some great sunset pics!

This is a nice attraction right in Bend, but we made the mistake of turning into the place from Hwy20/Greenwood Ave. expecting a lot to park in at the bottom. We had to go all the way to the loop at the top to park, which meant that the hike was down and up it, instead of up and down... More

Snow had thwarted our other hiking plans for the weekend, so we were looking for alternatives closer to town. Lucky for us, we found that we could drive to the top of this Butte and overlook Bend. There's a neat piece in the middle that indicates which mountains and buttes are on the horizon and how far away they are... More

I grew up hiking Pilot Butte with my grandfather. When I returned this past weekend and took my family to the top, I was delighted by the nice area that had been constructed on top to allow for education and views of the Cascade Mountains. There is an aerial view photograph of the mountains meant to help visitors identify the... More

Situated right in the middle of beautiful Bend, OR is Pilot Butte. Once, thought of residing on the outskirts of town, now sitting right in the middle of town before heading out the Eastern urban sprawl. Absolutely a must for the expansive panoramic views of the city and the Cascade Mountains. Sunsets are spectacular - get their a little early... More

We ran into someone that recommended checking this place out. Boy are we glad we did! It was spectacular at sunset and beautiful to see the mountains surrounding the area.
