Each time I've visited South Twin Lake over the years, July of 2017 most recently, it's always been less crowded than Elk Lake which can get so crowded it's difficult to find a parking place. Perhaps that's because it's farther away from Bend and no...More

We love small lakes with no motor boats, so it is one of our favorite lakes to spend time camping and fishing and hiking ..

This place is a super find, fishing-swimming-restaurant-rental boats and equipment for all, no power boats allowed. Good restaurant and store. Rental cabins available with advanced reservations recommended.

All of the Cascade Lakes are beautiful. South Twin is no exception. Clean campground and close to La Pine, OR. if you need to run to the store.

Great quiet lake in the high desert. The small lodge and store has what you need and the staff is very friendly. Will go back and camp next time.

We stayed at West Twin Lakes Campground. The reservoir was dry but South Twin Lake did have water. It was really pleasant and peaceful time of year to go.
