A great place for a family picnic. The water is warm enough to swim in during the summer months, there are beaches for children to play on and the lake is just the right size to float a kayak or rubber raft on for a little water fun.

All of the Cascade Lakes are beautiful. South Twin is no exception. Clean campground and close to La Pine, OR. if you need to run to the store.

Twin lakes feature great fishing and are especially productive during the early parts of the spring for trout. A small lodge area that includes cabins and store make this a nice quiet getaway as well as a base of operations for other scenic vewing in the area either via hiking or backcountry roads. Neighboring lakes abound in the area as... More

Great quiet lake in the high desert. The small lodge and store has what you need and the staff is very friendly. Will go back and camp next time.

We stayed at West Twin Lakes Campground. The reservoir was dry but South Twin Lake did have water. It was really pleasant and peaceful time of year to go.

Both of these lakes are wonderful. In fact ALL of the Lakes on the High Cascades Highway are some of the most beautiful ACCESSIBLE and pure lakes! the US has to offer. Check all of them out!

This lake is great. No motor boats allowed so you can swim across the lake. There is a beach, kayak rentals, restaurant, store, camping and cabins. Great little lake that is warm. Fun to hang out for the day or camp for a weekend!

The campground is located beside South Twin Lake. Only the lower numbered sites that are on the east side of the loop have a view of the lake. There are many large Pine trees in the campground. Most sites are partially shaded. There is a restaurant, store, day use area and boat launch for non-motorized boats. There are no RV... More
