Each time I visit here the staff are friendly and the LH and surrounding ocean scenery are tops. The LH is small, but historic and has been around a long time. Very rustic old place with the surrounding beach full of driftwood and tiny driftwood shelters some of the beachcombers build to get out of the wind. The shelters get... More

Coquille River lighthouse is not a well known as some of the others along the coast (Yaquina (Head and Bay), Umpqua, or Blanco, but is well worth the visit. To access enter Bullard’s Beach state park and continue to the end of the road. Great views of the bar and Bandon from the lighthouse. In addition, the lighthouse is very... More

Every time we come to Bandon, I love to take photos of this. Very scenic! It does get fogged in a bit though.

We were too early for the lighthouse to be open. We loved walking on the jetty, though, and exploring the area. A beautiful view and great way to experience the power of the ocean. The waves had deposited a large tree trunk and boulders on top of the jetty.

The lighthouse is undergoing repair. You can not climb in the tower and the lower level is more gift shop than anything else. They have repainted the lighthouse and it does not wow as before

Drive out to the Coquille Lighthouse was easy and pleasant. Parking was plentiful. Beach area makes for a nice stroll. Seeing the lighthouse was also very interesting. Would definitely go back.

Stopped on our way in to Bandon. Very nice couple serving as host. It was a beautiful clear day, lots of boats fishing for salmon. There were more items for sale than history info, but still a very nice place to stop.

Its a small lighthouse and worth a visit but if the surf is up the real fun is walking out the jetty and dodging the spray. You have to climb over a small dune the the jetty has a concrete center for easy walking with a few logs strewn around for good contrast.

We walked the short distance to the Coquille River Lighthouse on our way to a vacation rental in Bandon. It was nearly sunset, so were were able to enjoy the beautiful reds and oranges of the sunset on the lighthouse. The lighthouse sits right on the edge of the jetty and is a really good place to take photos. Ours... More

Make the turn at Bullard's Beach State Park on Hwy 101 and follow the road to the lighthouse. Beautiful stop along the Oregon Coast and between 11 -5 pm (May-Sept) volunteers are available to answer questions and provide information about the area. Beautiful views of the ocean and a paved jetty to walk on beside it. Plenty of parking.
