Was looking for a great first backpacking adventure for me and my family (wife, tween, and a teen) and Go Wild did not disappoint. So nice to get out and away from the traditional car camping experience and see an absolutely beautiful and relatively unknown part of Oregon. Dan and his crew spoiled us rotten and made sure it was a memorable trip. They take care of the details so you can focus on just having fun. Fly fishing, diving in a remote mountain lake, great food and conversations. Definitley looking forward to another trip. Cannot recommend them enough.

My family (ages 13 to mid 50s) have gone on two multi-day backpacking trips with Dan and the Go Wild crew and couldn't recommend it more! Every detail from the flowers/plants/animals you see, understanding the landscape, learning about Native American tales on the lands you're walking, star gazing, gourmet food, crafted cocktails, and hot coffee next to a crackling fire each morning... I could go on and on! An adventure for a group that wants to disconnect from cell phones and experience the beauty of Eastern Oregon. Whether this is your first backpacking trip or a seasoned hiker (my group had all ranges) Dan guides with seasoned leadership on the trails! Highly recommend!! Great fun and a tradition for my family now! Thanks Dan!

We've gone on family adventures with Go Wild! multiple times and could not be more enthusiastic. We just did a 4 day backpack in the Wallowa's with our family of 6...our kids range from High School to just graduated college and it was the perfect experience for some quality time together away from all the chaos of day to day life. It's not glamping, but Dan and his squad take care of all the details and are focused on making sure you have a great time. The fire is lit. The coffee is ready. The cocktails are poured. And the meals are 5-star. The whole thing is 5-star! We recommend Go Wild! to anyone wanting to get away from it all for a couple days and have a great time and a unique adventure.

EPIC FAMILY ADVENTURE - and our daughter got engaged! What a delightful surprise to discover Go Wild American ... Baker Oregon based Owner Dan Sizer and his staff provided a high level of service and professionalism that created a lifetime memory for our family (adults and teens). We have travelled the world together, but haven’t done a backpacking hiking camping trip. This hidden gem of a three day Wallowa Mountain hiking excursion was right here in our own backyard! Go Wild provided nearly all the equipment we needed as well as all the planning and logistics plus delicious locally sourced food. If I tried I MIGHT be able to describe the beauty of the soaring mountains, the lush valleys or the peaceful trot of a plump deer as it made its way through our camp. The Swiss Alps of Oregon is how I would describe the area. But the scenery isn’t what made this adventure magical. Magic was the joy of watching across camp as my kids laughed together over a poorly assembled tent. Magic was no electronic devices and cousins swinging together in a slow-moving tree hammock, listening to the roar of the creek. Conversations. Jokes. Interaction. Laughs (so many laughs!). Gasps as we plunged our feet into glacier-cold water to forge a creek. Magic was eating huckleberry pancakes sitting on a heavy log we hauled over for extra seating around the fire. Just sitting quietly, sipping coffee out of a blue enamel camp mug, mesmerized by the fire and the pink glow of early morning coming over the mountain ledge. Magic is being together and being reminded —in this crazy, busy world — that what is most important is gratitude, love, laughter and family. As we drove away from Dan and the other guides at the end of our weekend we all agreed that this may have been our first overnight hiking trip, but it wasn’t our last. Thanks to the services of Go Wild, this was our FIRST ANNUAL Epic Wallowa Mountains Adventure !

We had so much fun! So me and my friends were traveling and did the beginners fly fishing. We went to a very good fishing place and caught a lot of fish, even though we had bad skills. Luckily our guide Pat took his time and tought us some good techniques. We ate the fish afterwards with some beers. Perfect day out! Especially cuz Pat carried the beer. Thx!
