The Chisholm Trail ran right through our town. It is embedded in our history in many ways and would be a good trip to come and see these things for yourself in our city.
Yukon was just a little town and has grown leaps and bounds over the past 20 years and there are many things you can do around here and in the OK. City area.

Yukon is small but is growing so fast. It still has the small city feel and community events which make it unique.

Historic town having both the Chisholm Trail and Route 66 going through it. Not to mention that Yukon is the hometown of Garth Brooks.

I recently relocated to Yukon from Colorado. Yukon is a great change of pace from the hottest real estate and job market! Yukon is a great little incubator and has a bright future.

Yukon has several secret weapons. There is a large friendly police and fire services group, as well as a great mix of retail, restaurants, shops, and a home town feel that is experiencing strong growth while keeping the home town feel.

I have found the people to be incredibly friendly and warm, willing to help you out in any way they can. Yukon is 15-20 minutes from the airport, 25 from downtown, and yet captures that sleepy little town feel.

There is a variety of neighborhood events and traditions that make living here fun and a little different each week.

It is exciting to live in a town with so much historical significance to the land run and growth in the West. I love to listen to people talk about coming to Oklahoma as young children living in "dug outs" surviving extremes in climate from ice storms to tornados and their family values. Route 66 is our Main Street. Yukon is the "fastest growing" suburb of OKC. Worth a visit!

Yukon, OK has an array of interesting sites to see. First and foremost, it was settled by Czechoslovakian farmers. Each year on the first weekend of the month, the Czech Festival takes place. There is a parade and dancing with the most beautiful costumes.
If you've never had a kalachi, it would be an excellent time to have one,or two or three. Get there early! It's their 50th anniversary this year and there will be many sightseers!

The Chisholm Trail cattle drive came through Yukon beginning in 1867 through 1889. You can see a depiction of the cattle drive at 4th and Main on a 48'X15' wall mural painted by Joy Willingham in 1987......Walk carefully beneath the mural, as the water falls off the painting onto the sidewalk. Dale Robertson had a ranch just north of Yukon. He obliged the artist and posed as trailboss on the back of his horse, then dedicated the mural at the unveiling!

Yukon boasts of their favorite son, Garth Brooks! They even named a road after him!
Come stay a while! You'll not find more friendly people anywhere!

My family has lived in Yukon since 2005. Never been pulled over never had cops at our house. We move to smoking oaks and a few families have been here since it was developed, and you can tell by how they treat you. The lovely family across the street constantly blocks our drive way since 2014. I have called the police station many times to be told they do not send officers out for cars parked in the street. My son had a friend stay over and he parked in the street, guess what the cops was at my door and made us move. Discrimination is what that is against people that move to Yukon

Chisholm Trail Park is actually two parks in one, the original park, and the newer development on the other side of the lake. There are several different play areas scattered throughout the park, as well as walking trails, fountains, etc. Weekly musical performances take place in a gazebo, and there are seasonal activities for the Fourth of July, Christmas, etc. Christmas in the Park is magical, with hundreds of displays, a train ride, and much more. The display is famous statewide. There is a fireworks display and music for New Year's Day, and we just attended a Labor Day celebration with food trucks, music, and fireworks. There is a huge hill for sledding when it snows. This is the best park around!
