Beautiful place that gets better every year. Botanic Garden has a wonderful children's area with fun activities and the tier garden is nice year-round but best in spring with thousands of tulips. The garden has lots of acreage and continues to add new garden areas every few years. It is about 15 minutes from downtown out in the country and definitely worth the trip.

It maybe out in the middle of nowhere but it is a beautiful area. We were a group of 3 adults and we had a lot of fun exploring the children’s area. The terrace garden was beautiful, too bad we missed the tulips. Well worth the trip from Tulsa.

Tulips everywhere. So well planned. Water features were extraordinary. Iris's starting to bloom. Cloudy day and a cool day but, that made it even more solitary. Such a pretty little gem. I can see weddings and picnics in so many spots. LOVE the resident kitty. He followed us up to the top of the water feature as if he took personal pride in his special home.

This is the most pathetic excuse for a botanical garden that I've ever seen. There was very little in bloom in April and everything there looks very bedraggled. Don't waste your time or your money. We bought tickets ahead and paid $8 each but it wasn't worth a quarter each.

Hello cbrinkme, We're very sorry to hear you had this impression of the Garden. I see your post was April 21 - was your visit close to that date or earlier in the month? As with all gardens, bloom time is up to Mother Nature and we had an unusually late spring this year, however around April 21 we were just a bit after peak bloom of our spring bulb display of tulips and we even had quite a few daffodils still blooming in our Tandy Floral Terraces. Could you tell us more of what areas you visited? Due to some time-sensitive projects, staffing limitations and lots of rain (which makes everything grow) the weeds were a bit thicker than is our standard, however those have been taken care of. I would like to invite you back as we have many things blooming throught the growing season and, as you likely saw, have construction of two new gardens underway. Again, we would love to speak more about this directly with you to see what we can do - could you email us at info@tulsabotanic.org? Thank you!

Worst place ever. $10 per person but can’t take pictures or anything. Unless willing to pay a $50 fee. Rip off. Not worth it. Never coming again.

Hello Mai, Our photography policy for using the Botanic Garden as a backdrop for commerical or portait/professional photography includes the $50 permit fee, much like any private studio or location would charge a location or studio fee. As a non-profit organization these fees help us in purchasing and maintaining the beautiful plantings that many wish to use as a backdrop. We do offer a very nominal fee for taking more casual portait photos with a cell phone. For more information, please reach out to us at info@tulsabotanic.org or see our policy on our website. Thank you!

I visited the Botanic gardens while visiting Tulsa, and I was not disappointed! These gardens are well put together and well managed. The children's garden is a very nice place to hang out for a while, and listen to the stream. The gardens as a whole was extremely peaceful and beautiful. I have visited many gardens in many states, and this one is up top on my list. The only down fall was that this garden did not open until 10 o'clock. I visited on a hot day and it would have been nice to enter at 8. But overall, it was worth the $8.00 admission fee to enter! I would recommend sitting and staying a while to soak it all in!

Went with friends to the April 30, 2018 Full Moon Walk. The cost was $15.00/person for non-members. You could purchase wine/beer if you wanted, but we didn’t. This was a self-paced, unguided nature walk. The only light was from the Moon. It was very peaceful. Quite a few rocks, so watch your step. Too early in the season for spring flowers to be in bloom, but it was still enjoyable. I would go again.

This garden has been under development for several years and features a 7 acre lake on a 60 acre property, offering classes and small gardens. The offerings are about to compound significantly with the grand opening of stunning floral terraces on the side of the lake on October 3 & 4, 2015. They are already started on an ambitious children's garden. Check out "Oklahoma Gardening" on youtube for a recent show on the latest projects. If you get a chance to join a trek through the woods and on thru the persimmon trail, be sure an go!

The Tulsa Botanic Garden has beautiful serene Christmas light beauty. It begins with a gorgeous drive in the country leading to the entrance. Walking around through the lights with music playing is the perfect family activity. We also sat by the fire and enjoyed smores and hot chocolate. If you missed this Christmas Light experience this year, you must put it on next year's list. We will be back.

We always love visiting, but the tulips this month we’re truly spectacular! The hummingbirds in the fall were also extraordinary.
