We did the hotel room yesterday for a double date. It was so much fun. A few things did not work as expected in the room, timer messed up earlier in the day, and our walkie talkie stopped working. These things can happen when you do something like this and we are aware of this. The staff too this and went out of their way the entire time to correct it. The staff was always friendly and helpful from the start. This is one of my favorite locations to do the safe rooms at because of this.

First time trying this type of game. We did what was considered the easy room. Although it was not difficult, we could not get the last clue solved in time. We finished as our time ran out. Failure....lol....but we had a great time.
We look forward to trying the other rooms in the future.

I took 2 teenagers and 2 10 year olds with me to The Safehouse. We each had a blast! The kids really worked hard and together to get out of the rooms. We did two rooms and it took us almost the full hour in both rooms. Lots of laughter and fun without electronics! I will be going back with friends to do the new room soon!

First let me say that escape rooms in general are a 5-star experience. Even though this one is sorely lacking in creativiity and execution, if you haven't done one before, you will have fun (as evidenced by all the glowing reviews). However, having done escape rooms elsewhere (including Prague and Budapest), I can tell you that this one was thrown together without any real creativity, effort, or expense put into the venture. It almost seems like a cynical money grab. The interior of our room was still the same old oak panelling that came with this run-done office space - no theming or renovation. The puzzles were all number- and letter-based and included electronics (I'm not a fan of escape rooms that use cell phones, DVD players, etc. like this one did). For comparison, I've done a room with fully decorated "stone" walls; armoires that, once unlocked, revealed a secret room behind; intricate wooden puzzles that had to be pieced together and rotated properly according to ancient-looking symbolic instructions, etc. I've even seen a puzzle with two small holes in a wall (high and low) that required one person to look through and give instructions to a second person who was manipulating a stick to hook a set of keys. You get the idea. Good escape rooms require creativity and significant investment in designing and building props, maps, levers, doors, magnets, etc, etc.
The other rooms I have done cost between $45 and $65 for the group - this one was $160 for our 8 people.
Finally, I think the real test of an escape room's success is how much the group talks about it afterwards. Out of 8 people, most simply said "that was fun" without any real enthusiasm or excitement. Contrast that to my other experiences where the entire group couldn't stop talking about it, rehashing the clues and puzzles, reliving great moments of inspiration that they experienced when finding a solution, etc.
Although my review is 2-stars, I LOVE escape rooms. This one just happens to be boring.

Poor customer service. Playing on cell phone when we arrived Just looked up and said sign this. No back story to the room. Why are we here? Why do we want out? Never started the timer. We escaped and no one came for us, so we walked to the front desk. And could not find anyone. Just plain poor.

We did the homicide room with two adults, two 16 year olds and two 11 year olds. This was a perfect activity for all. We enjoyed it and had fun working together. It was pretty hard for us and we had to ask for hints, but it was still a good time. All the kids said they wanted to do another one immediately after we escaped the room.

Eight adults descended on the room celebrating one of our birthdays. The mystery was in the crypt which has 2 rooms. The first one is dark and we had to examine the clues to get into the next room. It was exciting and challenging. Along the way we had to request 3 clues. We had just figured out the final clue that would give us the door code when the time ran out. We just needed 5 more minutes. We left happy and satisfied and discussed it quite a bit as we went to dinner. This wasn't the first escape room for any of us but it was the first time we had NOT escaped in time. We had a blast and will go again soon. You should too.

Our family of 4 had a great time in the Homicide Room. 2 adults, a 12 and 10 year old. We escaped! We asked for a couple of clues toward the end. The room didn’t have a lot of dead ends or distractions which made it more straight forward for our kids.
We would go back and try another room for sure!

Took two groups of teenagers-boys and girls. Boys and girls worked together well and enjoyed the chance to bond and work together. I was afraid it might be too easy but they figured it out right under the 60 minutes. Everyone enjoyed the experience.

My 13 yr old son and I went and had a very good time. I suggest calling in advance and making reservations because they were busy the weekend that we went. Staff was extremely friendly and we plan on going back to experience the other rooms.

Hi Scooby, I went to the Safehouse and had a terrific time as my friends did. I have gone to escape rooms in Arkansas, St Louis, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and the Tulsa Escape in Tulsa. This one excels over those. I thought it was odd you would knock it like you did. Perhaps you had a bad day. Hope everything goes better for you. I highly recommend this place. By the way I have done all the rooms. The one you described is a cool looking room and not 4 plain walls. The clues are unique and well thought out. I'm president of a company here and we have done team building there with excellent response. So again, maybe you just had a bad day and took it out on a nice place.
The rooms are 20 dollars a person and can hold up to 8 people each. Do you have a large party that you are wanting to book to compete against each other or just wanting everyone to do one or two rooms together?
How much does 2 rooms cost and how many people per team for the rooms?
