We had heard that anyone interested in art deco period architecture should not miss this church while in Tulsa. What we heard was right on the mark! Beautifully designed, and wonderfully kept up. The staff were friendly and this space proved to be a spiritual visit for us, in every respect.

I was not expecting the grand sanctuary when I walked in there. I was amazes at the details of the stained glass and how really large the church building was. The group I was with was singing it's praises.

The Boston Avenue United Methodist Church is a unique architectural gem. We went in to the church office and requested to view and photograph the interior of the sanctuary and other areas within the church. They were happy to accommodate our request. It's a contemporary, yet traditional, design concept. Well worth an hour or so to experience.

This Church is amazing to see both during the day and at night. The way it lights up at night is quite remarkable. If you are in there area I encourage you to go see it.

Built in 1930, this is probably the world's greatest Art Deco church. Great to see outside, day or night. Great for pictures. There are informal tours of the very beautiful inside that take place right after the Sunday services. Reservations are recommended. A contribution is very very subtly suggested after the tour.

When in Tulsa you must stop in and see the Boston Avenue Methodist Church designed by Bruce Goff. A stunning piece of Art Deco styling in a town that has it's share of Art Deco works.

Boston Avenue Methodist Church is such a beautiful example of Art Deco Architecture in Tulsa. Worth visiting both during the day and at night to take photos, as the building is lit at night and just glows against the darkened sky. So beautiful!
