This is a magnificent example of art deco architecture from the heyday of art deco. The interior of the building is as gorgeous as the exterior and the church is very accommodating to visitors who want to wander through the building. We've been Tulsa residents for over 20 years, have visited the Boston Avenue Methodist Church many times and often... More

This amazing church, towering over its surroundings, must be seen to be believed. You can check it out on-line and get the general idea, but that's no substitute for looking at the bas reliefs and stained glass first hand. More than anything else, it reminds me of the capitol building Huey Long built in Baton Rouge. There is ample parking... More

We didn't go in, but it was lovely wandering around the outside and listening to the bells. Even though it was a weekday morning, they were playing some beautiful music.

I get to drive by this architectural delight everyday. Better yet the beautiful sound of its bells are a joy to my dears everyday.

Impressive, would recommend walking the entire district, also the deco district, and a tour of the Mayo Hotel which has a nice museum as well as wonderful views on the 18th floor.

The architectural, historical significance of this church is unique. Tulsa has some of the most art deco architecture in the country for it's size. The building is now visible from both directions on Boston Avenue, thanks to the city changing the once one way direction. Look closely at the peaks, they are praying hands. Tulsa is proud to have Boston... More

If you are an affectionato of Art Deco, you might want to make a detour through Tulsa. The gem of all these buildings is Boston Avenue Methodist Church. The size of a small cathedral, the building is adorned with massive art deco sculptures on the facades, including the stern horse riding ministers of earlier times. The parapets are topped with...
