About
Trinity Episcopal Church has been called the best example of Gothic architecture west of the Mississippi River. With vaulted ceilings, stunning stained glass windows and ornate carvings, it is beyond compare in the region. Trinity was built before statehood with the expectation that there would be two Episcopal Dioceses in the state. As it happened, only one Diocese encompasses the entirety of the state but Trinity's grandeur is a jewel in Tulsa's crown.

Right in central Tulsa is this magnificent structure at 5th and Cincinnati Streets. This church sits on a corner and makes the impression one would expect from an Episcopal church.
Ample proportions, a BEAUTIFULLY BALANCED interior where the colors and patterns of the flooring are matched by the same colors and flooring in the ceiling. The windows are of exceptional color, power and make quite
an impact no matter where one stands or sits in the building.
The organ cases on either side provide just the right effect and the music here is of the quality one would expect.
For lovers of architecture, especially church architecture, this is MUST SEE for visitors to Tulsa.

Not many of these in Tulsa, where there tends to be a church on every corner....Trinity is beautiful inside and out. If you like to see grand, old churches in the cathedral sense...then don't miss a quick peek inside when you have time.

Though not familiar with Episcopal rituals, this church was filled with beautiful architecture and artistry. We called ahead to be allowed to tour, and was provided a guidebook for our visit. We enjoyed listening to the organist practice as we took many photos. It's definitely worth a look.

This church is simply stunning from the outside. The architecture and windows were simply beautiful, and we wanted to take a closer look to see the sanctuary and the windows from the inside.
But when we parked and started to walk across the street, we were met by so many aggressive panhandlers that we felt unsafe. One was so insistent that I "spare just a dollar" that I just hustled my kids back into the car. As we began to leave, he ran towards the church and disappeared inside somewhere. I did not feel safe at all, so we didn't return.
I know the church can't control what happens outside, but I can't be the only person literally driven away by this sort of thing. I love churches and would've loved to have seen the inside, but not when something like this happens.

We are so sorry to hear this was your experience. For 40 years, until August 26th, 2019, Trinity housed Iron Gate soup kitchen which fed the hungry and homeless of Tulsa. Doing the difficult job of caring for others can sometimes be messy. But Iron Gate now has its own facility a few miles north of the church and foot traffic in the area has significantly decreased. We hope you will join us again sometime in the future.

The architecture is gorgeous. It's right in the middle of downtown, the stained glass is beautiful, and the sanctuary/nave are quiet and a nice place to reflect.

Unfortunately we are human and sometimes we don't get things right. I know this is too little too late, but I want to apologize for your experience. Trinity welcomes and affirms everyone and we would love to have you join us again any time.

Friendly congregation and a welcoming group of members. There are plenty of groups in which to become involved in the local community.

I am new to Tulsa and was fortunate to find Trinity as my new church home. Very welcoming and open. Good for families, singles, young kids. I love the service that Trinity provides to the community.
