the " cemetary".
we drove down to regan and found this place and spent the entire day. incredible, the work this couple has put into this movie set! so much to explore, and the people were great. we went a few years back, and ate at the restaurant, as well as visiting the well stocked gift shop, whose prices were very wallet friendly. i think the best part was listening to the stories told by the owners. well worth the long drive from okc, for a day trip!
i had to choose 2021 off the visit list, but it was further back when we visited...probably closer to 2014. very photogenic place, if you like the old west!

We came across Sipokni West on the Internet while I was looking for something to do.
What can be more fun than a manufactured old west town?
Admittedly, we were a little hesitant once we got there. It looked a little iffy from the outside, but we overcame, cowboyed up and went inside.
So glad we did!
We got there at lunch stopped into The Lost Spur. The food was really good. Made to order.
We got to meet Mrs. Shackleford, the owners wife, and our server. She is so high energy and loving. Made us feel like family.
The self guided tour was low key but fun. You have to remember, this is a movie set, so some of the buildings aren't much.
We then met and had a great conversation with the owner, Mr Shackleford, with whom I wish we had gotten more time.
We will come back again, after the weather is warmer to see the gunfights!

Sipokni West is a unique Old West town built by retired actor Johnny Shackleford and serves as Oklahoma's largest Western movie set. Gunfights are performed every third Saturday night at 6:30pm. Come and enjoy the Lost Spur Cafe, which is open year round, Thu-Fri 11:30am-8:30pm and Sat 10am-8:30pm. Book Sipokni West for photo shoots, parties, meetings and family reunions. Admission to the museum and Western town is free. The gift shop and cafe are located on Main Street in Sipokni West. The museum has displays about life in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Be sure to stop by the Lost Spur Cafe. They, also, have craft shows at various times of the year.

Husband and I drove to Tishomingo from OKC yesterday to explore the little town and decided to check this place out. It’s abandoned. Don’t waste your time driving out there like we did!

My wife and I visited Sipokni on a Saturday and we talked to Johnny Shackelford the owner. He had a lot of great things to say, fun stories good jokes ....this place was very authentic and we've been to a lot of these including Tombstone Old Tucson and Buckskin Joe's, etc. For Oklahoma a lot of history preserved here. This was just good fun nice people good photo opportunity place to take your kids in and see the history of the Old West. Great place to see gunfights on 3rd Saturday. Church groups are welcome. Good clean family fun. Thank u to the Shackelfords for preserving such neat western memories. Buy your kids a cap gun in the gift shop and let them have fun in a cowboy town.

Sipokni West is truly a hidden gem. This old western movie set and restaurant has something for everyone. I had the fish and it was so good, there was even enough for leftovers. The Shacklefords make everyone feel like family and it’s a fun place to visit.

We had a hard time finding the cafe in this old west movie set. Very interesting place to wander around and there were even some gun slingers, although we didn’t see them perform. We heard the chicken fried steak was good so we got that, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and fresh black eyed peas. It was almost like eating at your Grandma’s house! The owner sat and talked with us a while, so that was fun. We’ll definitely go back and try more of this home cooking! Table next to us had fried catfish that looked good, and the French fries were not the frozen ones. Give it a try! Take the kids to see the old west town and make an afternoon of it. Only open Thursday Friday and Saturday I believe.

Fun place to eat. Old west town with music, general store, old jail and much more. this would be a fun place to take children. The general store has gifts and toys for children.
