This place was not on our origianl itinerary along our Route 66 trip, but we were so glad we stopped. It is a great museum with wonderful displays that depict the history of this beautiful and quaint little city. Rachel was our guide and is the curator. She was awesome and extremely nice. Highly recommend!

Stopped by this wonderful town museum today. Everyone we met was very proud of their town, knowledgeable and very friendly. It is amazing how much wonderful history can be amassed in a small town. We love and thank these museums for preserving history.

We are a small town and the existence of our own museum is proof that we love our community. It is rare for people today to actually love their home and want to preserve its' heritage.

So glad we made a last minute decision to stop here. This should be on your must visit list. Free admission (donation) and a personal guided tour by a local resident. The diorama of early Sapula was phenomenal with several hundred miniature cars and trucks!

The Sapulpa Historical Museum a real treat for HomeTown history Buffs and for visitors to our wonderful little city. They have War memorabilia from local veterans and Hometown war heroes. They have history on Sapulpa all the way back from the very beginning. A fun stop on Route 66

We have been to several small town museums and this is by far one of the best. We were very impressed with the guided tour and the cost is free. They have about 2500 visitors per year. This should be much more. If you are a teach or educator, or have children or teenagers, this would be a great place to take your class to see. All three floors are arranged wonderfully, starting with displays on the first floor or Sapulpa in the late 1800s. The 1894 Egan Brothers General Mercantile Store, displays of the kitchens, washing machines, school house, and Harvey House are very interesting and well-displayed. The second floor is arranged according to topics with each of the old hotel rooms having a different theme. Plan on about 2 hours to take in everything with the guided tour.

We've been to a lot of little town museums and this in by far one of the best, especially because of the guided tour and the rooms that are arranged according to topic. There are also specific exhibits of businesses that were in operation back in the mid to late 1800s, for example Egan Brothers General Store, There is also a giant display of what Sapulpa looked like for buildings and roads back in the 1894. This is a very detailed display. This would also be a great place for schools to use as a field trip. The tour guide was extremely informative and enjoyed answering questions. Please like this review. You will not be disappointed if your go. It took us 90 minutes to view everything, all three floors. Don't miss all three floors, especially the second floor where they have high school student pictures from the early 1900s.

We love the local museums in Oklahoma, and riding Route 66, we dropped by at the Sapulpa Historical Museum. Guided expertly, we found out so much. If you're ever passing Sapulpa, don't forget to call in.

Museum was well laid out and easy to maneuver around in. It has 3 floors with an elevator. The staff were wonderful and took their time showing the items. They had several items that I had not seen before. You will enjoy this old town museum. We spent about 1 1/2 Hour. We found this while looking for ghost signs. Which this town has many..
