The security at the park is a joke. The park ranger doesn’t seem to care. He don’t even want to listen to your problems. He doesn’t even drive through the park through the day. The park is noisy at night. There is a train that runs at night blaring his horn. On the weekends you can here the music and the people from the restaurant down by the lake. The restroom and showers are dirty. The shower rooms especially. The shower rooms have dirt on the walls. Plus there is mold everywhere. There is mold on the floor, shower curtain and the handicap equipment. There is hair on the walls and the drain.Plus the shower rooms smell bad. You are breathing in the mold and whatever else there is. I think if they had a ventilation system it would help a little. I also think it would be a lot better if it was cleaned. The park is not level in a lot of the sites. So it’s hard to put up a tent. Plus they don’t maintain the park that good. Now down by the lake it s nice because there is a restaurant and boat shop. I don’t know what they do with the money that we pay to stay here. Because it isn’t going back in the park that’s for sure. That’s to bad because this could be a great park.

They are only out for the money!! They do not care about the customer. We have stayed here twice and both times the showers and bathrooms have been closed. The first time they said the pipes were frozen. If that was the case why was there running water at the campsite. The second time they were closed because they were being caulked. They could have done one or two at a time. They didn’t have to do all of them at once. Both times they didn’t let us know about the issues. So we wasn’t able to take showers or go to the restroom. They should have given us our money back or told us in advance that there was no facilities. I like the park itself and the scenery. I just don’t care for the people that work at the park.
The both times we have stayed the park ranger has complained about something we was doing. He complained about the way we was driving and the things we had done in the campsite. He didn’t say anything to the other campers about them burning a fire when there was a burn ban going. Long story short the employees at this state park are not friendly and just try to find someway to screw you over.

I scheduled a guided fishing trip out of this park. Was not aware of the over zealous meter maids Keystone park employs. I pulled in went and used the restroom prior to paying to park. I walked over to the sign with the QR code to pay to park looked over and saw the meter maid writing me a ticket. He was smug, condescending and arrogant. An embarrassing representative of the state. I assume I won't be the first complaining to the park and state about him. I book a few trips a year with this fishing guide and I told him to remove Keystone from the list for future trips.

Just passing though, we drove across the dam and pulled into the downstream side of the dam. Very impressive! Definitely worth stopping. We walked all the way up near the base of the dam. Lots of large birds including herons and pelicans. Nice restrooms at the parking lot as well.
We also turned in at the state park itself to see if there was anything worth seeing on a "drive thru" like ours...but not much to see. Drive up to the Ancient Forest instead if you want views and hikes.

Located in Green Country area at the end of the section. No water or electric, lots of room to spare. Can use small tent trailer or tents. Stays partially shaded so nice and cool when needed. View of the lake and pretty much everything around. Common water hydrant available at the bathrooms.

We stayed at the Paradise cabin for 2 with a jetted tub for 2. The tub and view were awesome!! The cabin is a cool design but showing it’s age and I wouldn’t call it clean from eye level up. This is not good since it has a large vaulted ceiling. Lots of cobwebs. You will need to bring all of your own cooking things there isn’t even a disposable cup for the coffee maker. You do get coffee with cream and sugar packets but that is it. They do supply towels, bedding, soap and shampoo.

When we arrived, someone was in our site. They had parked in our site and we’re staying for a week. We were able to stay in their site which was much the same. Very clean park. Our site was a brief walk to the lake. Friendly staff. We were located near the playground. No worries, we added WD40 to the squeaky swings.

This is a beautiful cabin, that is a great value for the price paid! It has a full kitchen, fireplace, very nice bathroom and a 2-person Jacuzzi tub in the main room. I would highly recommend it to everyone... The view is fantastic and the park itself is well cared for.

Used a groupon and booked two weeks ahead. 70* Dec. 21 but 33* with rain and later sleet and snow on December 22.
My daughter and I and her dog arrived about 3pm and check in was painless. The cabin was warm and we made it home.
Central heat and air but there's a fireplace. Bring your own wood. Kindling is plentiful, if it doesn rain, sleet or snow.
Our cabin had a sleeper couch and 1 bedroom. My daughter and dog took the bed and I'll say the sleeper couch was comfortable. There were pillows, sheets and 1 blanket. I'd brought extra so we were ok but you might request extra blankets if you go during cold, or possible cold, weather.
Kitchen was fundamental. Place setting for 4. 10" skillet, pots (not all had lids), lg plastic bowl, cookie sheet. No paper towels, foil, plastic wrap or any salt/pepper/sugar. There is a coffee pot with enough for one pot of coffee/etc. It's not AirBnB.
Dirty towels/linen is placed in a plastic tote with a lid and left outside by 11am for replacement. You get a new tote with whatever you've turned in dirty, only clean. Worked for me.
Since it was really cold I didn't spend much time outside but the daughter and her dog went on several hikes. The main day we were there they traveled 7 miles and she would have liked to stay another day because they hadn't traveled it all.
They have some groceries and things at the park check in place. There's a Dollar General Store about 5 miles away and plenty of places to eat, in or takeout, in Manford, about 6 miles away.
Very enjoyable, at 65 I don't do all that I used to but I was perfectly happy at Keystone Cabin #10, 3pm Dec 22 ~ 10am Dec 24 2017.
I'd like to come back in warmer weather.
Safe travels, cmohfr

Does the 3 bedroom cabin have two bathrooms?
Written July 6, 2020
I'm sorry, but I only rented a one (1) bedroom. The one bedroom only has one...a tiny one at that. If you call the office #, I'm sure they can and will help you. We did find the entire staff to be exceptional.

Yes, I do believe so. We stayed in a cabin but we saw lots of camping spots.
