We were looking for something close to Tulsa where we could beat the near 100 degree heat and heard about this place. It was only an hour drive and was a great way to cool off for a few hours in a late midweek afternoon. The folks who run it are super nice and I didn’t mind paying the $10 fee to get in ($10 per car load). They have a few snacks and things to purchase but we didn’t try any because we brought a picnic. Plenty of tables and space to make your own. It is a rocky bottom swimming hole so sneakers or water shoes are suggested. The flies were out in force so that was the only issue we had. We found a spot and had a great late afternoon floating around the super refreshing water(goes from shallow to deep very quickly!) It stays pretty cold but not too cold that you can’t enjoy it, maybe low 60’s temp wise. Lots of families which was nice to see, but unfortunately a lot of trashy people as well. Just pick your spot wisely to avoid the heavy drinkers and smokers. It’s a great spot to cool off and we will def go again!

Beautiful spot to hang out, cook out and camp. We decided to go night swimming on our floaties while no one was out there. You could see birds or bats flying in the moon light, but it was too difficult to make out in the dark. I have went every summer since I was a kid. It's way better than a trip to the lake, I will always take my kids here. There's bathrooms by the camoing area and also porta potties in a few areas closer to the water. Picnic table and fire rings to make a fire and roast smores. They sell T-shirts and I believe floaties if you don't have any. They sell food, all though its a little on the pricey side, but boy is it good. If you have young kids I recommened. My kids are a now 7 month old, 3 year, 6 year, and 9 year and the ALL love it (haven't went with the baby yet due to cornavirus). The water fall isn't huge so don't get your hopes up on a huge water fall, but it is beautiful and has many hidden treasures.

We went on July 4th and the water is cold and felt great on a 100+ degree day. The place was PACKED. You need to bring chairs, something to float on/in, and shoes to walk on the rocky creek bed; some spots are too slippery for flip flops or bare feet. We had fun and would have stayed longer but there were just too many people. It's a fun day for kiddos with the right gear.

The Oklahoma Tourism department website recommends this place as one of Oklahoma's hidden gems. I have to disagree. It's poorly maintained, and I didn't see any blue water. Although it was pretty clear it was more green. The swimming hole is a large wash just below a bridge, and the entire area was rocks. They charge $10 per carload to enter, and also have some primitive camping sites available. It might be worth the $10 per car to take a dip if you're close, but don't drive out of your way. You could probably find a better swimming spot at the nearby large lake. Also the only bathrooms we found were porta potties, and I only saw a couple of picnic tables. You can drive and park right next to the swimming spot.

I take my kids here to swim in the hottest parts of summer. The swimming area is fed by a natural spring so the water is super cold and refreshing. My kids love to go here and the camping is open so there is always a place to set up a tent. It is $10 per car load and only $5 for camping so it's super inexpensive as well. Make sure you wear water shoes if you decide to go or you will be miserable because it is a super rocky place. Rocks everywhere! My only con is the bathrooms are not well kept. Ick.

During the brutal heat of the summer, the Blue Hole will provide relief with the spring-fed cold water. Wear your best water shoes. You will be walking on rocks all day. Don't forget your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer although, oddly enough, the bathroom did have a broom. Spend time walking downstream. The water is crystal clear. Please take your trash with you! I can't understand people who go to a beautiful, natural place and leave trash everywhere. We went during the week and it was not crowded. Also, you may want to bring floats

I've been going here for decades, brought my kids camping here & we used to put on a fireworks show there back around 2007 & 2008 on the Fourth of July. My husband passed last year & my kids & I enjoy going there to remember him & get the grandkids started loving it like we do & create great memories for them. It's a great place for families with no alcahol allowed, which we like. Its very reasonably priced at $10/car and they have a great little concession if you don't want to lug food for a day trip. Kids float on everything from intertubes to air mattresses & for $1, they will fill up your inflatables for you with their air compressor. They have rv spots & tent spots for campers, some have electricity others are primitive. They have a one stall restroom, no showers. Oh, and expect ice cold spring water, because that's what it is & its amazing. If your kids like to hunt crawdads, bring a hook, line & bacon & you'll have a boil going before you know it.

I used to live in Oklahoma and I cant believe I never went to visit this place. When I went it was about $10 a car for the day. I should have taken a grill to cook but maybe next time. I would recommend taking a tent (privacy) because there are not many places to change. Parking and getting a space was not a problem even on the 4th of July week. You can drive thru a stream and get to the other side of the hole/stream. It is steep so I recommend only if you have a truck. Take floats and some old shoes. The rocks are rough on your feet even with water shoes. You can buy little nets to catch little fish but I would recommend bring your own. Also, my only complaint was the restroom situation. No paper and they were dirty. They had porta pottys but they were also in bad shape. If you have to go #2 I would drive to the store.

'we needed a fun family day that was low on cost. We packed a lunch and headed to Blue hole. I would recommend you get there early on really hot days. We arrived at 9:00 am when they opened and were able to get a spot that had shade and sun. We choose not to be in the main swimming area but, further down the creek. The kids loved looking for crawfish and just floating with the current. There is an area that has a small rapids that our kids thought was awesome. The water was very cold it didn't bother the kids but, us adults were whimps. One draw back was the only bathrooms are out houses and one flush toilet that was like an outhouse.
It is very rocky! I recommend that you wear water shoes or old tennis shoes. NO flip flops.

WEAR THICK SOLED SHOES TO SWIM IN, the rocks will hurt your feet I promise. My kids 6-9 yrs old and I loved it. Alchohol is prohibited. $15 a vehicle. Park right next to the water, pop up a shade canopy and make sure you bring a small grill to cook on or else you'll be drooling smelling everyone else's food cooking.
