I love an interactive museum and this one fills the bill with excellent exhibits, lots of fun historic artifacts and great photo opportunities next to cool gas pumps. We spent a little over an hour here and learned a lot about the interesting history of Conoco and its many great employees over the years. It’s an amazing business we knew little about before visiting. Be sure to catch the introductory video before walking through the museum. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this museum when in the area.

Formed back in the early 20th century by a merger of Marland oil company and Continental oil, Conoco is one of the biggest names in oil and gas today. They have a sizable manufacturing and R&D installation in Ponca City and right across the street there's a museum dedicated to the history of Conoco. If you are a chemist, like my wife and I, or just interested in science in general, this museum is worth a stop. It should be noted that entry is free of charge and there are enough interesting exhibits to hopefully keep your child's attention for the 45 minutes to an hour that it will take to wander through the museum. The exhibits are set up chronologically and take you through the starting days of Conoco right after the merger, right through to the current operations. It is a good story full of good guys and bad guys and allows you to understand what it takes to provide a gallon of gasoline at your local gas station. Recommended

The museum was very easy to find and located across from the refinery, which was very suiting. The museum was packed with historical information about Conoco through to present day. It also had a lot of interesting displays about the refining process and the ability of the company to take their waste products and make them into usable items. On top of that the museum was free of charge and well worth the time to visit.

If you are in the area, you will truly find these exhibits fascinating. The employees of Conoco have a lot of history and successes to be proud of. We were stunned at all of the different products and inventions that Conoco has created. The staff here is very friendly and informative. What a nice surprise to finish the tour and be greeted with a goody bag of Conoco items as well as information on other tourist places in the area. This is a must tour!

This museum is a jewel! Loved the physical set up which allowed a large number of excellent displays in a relatively compact space. Some great old photographs along with wonderful memorabilia. The information on Mr. Marland and the history of the oil industry with well done. Thank you.

The museum is very enlightning;shows a lot of history and disappointments of the company. Young children may not find it interesting. I may have found it more intering because some of muy family worked for DuPointe.

The Conoco Museum is a free museum right across the street from the Phillips 66 refinery in Ponco City. It is well worth stopping to see. It traces the history of the company from its founding. Because Conoco has such a long history, this effectively gives you a great overview of the oil industry in Oklahoma as well. Very interesting, and very well done.
