The lady who runs Cherokee Landing State Park needs to be FIRED!!! Very Rude and Unprofessional! I booked a table spot for my mother’s 92nd Birthday Party and was informed the day of that we couldn’t use the table until 5:00 in the evening, even tho when it was reserved I told her I needed it at noon. The day of the party she was very Rude and told me that she didn’t have to to mess with me that she was extremely busy and the bathrooms were backed up and she needed to go to the bathroom. I have lived in this area most of my life and has always visited this particular park. But unfortunately with people running this particular location like her, I will NEVER book with them again. People like her will causes this park to close sooner than later. Do NOT go to Cherokee Landing because of the people running it!

So - the view is great. We are in site 46. That being said . . . that is really the only nice thing I can say. All you can hear is highway noise. Not peaceful at all. If you are bringing an RV to this site, it needs to be small. We brought a 24 foot and barely made it between the trees to get into the site. The pad is very small, so no way to get an RV and a boat on the same site. I wouldn't stay here again. If I wanted road noise, I would stay home.

The campground was clean, quiet and nicely appointed with disc golf, pavilions, etc. Bath houses were clean and well maintained. We had a great view of the lake. All of the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Hope to go back again soon!

This is a beautiful park. We stayed in our travel trailer. The grounds were impeccable!
beautiful views from every angle. Campsite 13 is our favorite! Site 9 would be second choice. We went kayaking while there and loved it. They also have a nice disc golf course. Camp Host was very friendly and welcoming.

Great swim area. Rocky beach with beautiful water. We watched the sunset after swimming. Family with small children was near us and their kids had a blast.

We were on a camping vacation. We planned on going to Greenleaf State Park but once we arrived it was not at all what we wanted, we then moved on to Tenkiller State Park, that was also not what we were looking for. I can't tell you how hopeful we were when we arrived at Cherokee Landing and it did not let us down. We wanted a campsite with a concrete pad and a view of the water. We got both along with huge spacious sites easy access to the water and great bike riding on the flat park. It is very small but offered what we were looking for. The only negative we have is that the shower house is in sad need of updates. Otherwise, this is a lovely quiet place to camp.

It was insanely hot, which limited time outside, but that was ok because the fish weren't biting anyway. However the staff was really helpful and cared about the campground and wildlife. A baby heron fell out of its nest and the park ranger worked two days getting back up there. Will try again someday, just not in July.

We love going to Cherokee Landing to walk. It's quiet and peaceful, with lots of shade.
The area is great for RV parking, with a good swimming area and easy access to the water.
Day use is free, and overnight rates are reasonable.

Closest boat dock to Keys/Tahlequah. It also has one of the easiest entries. Clean grounds are also good for camping!
