Great concert/play/presentation venue - with three large levels of seating (I prefer the side boxes since they are individual chairs and not a line of seats)

We have been to the Civic Center many times for ballets, Broadway touring shows and even Bob Dylan. Pretty venue with comfortable seats and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Try to be on the floor or in a box. I am not a fan of the nosebleed seats. The one time I sat there I had borderline vertigo!

My husband and I came to watched the Celtic Woman concert on April 28th.
The civic center is large enough to accommodate a lot of people.
The chairs are not bad its just really tight and packed.
The restrooms were clean which was nice.

This had to be the absolute worst version of the musical of Oklahoma I’ve ever seen. The actors were mediocre, there was only one who I thought sang really well, she is the one who played Laurie. The others were only fair. The actor who they chose to play Ado Annie was a disgrace to the play. There were songs added to the play I had never heard before, I’m sure they weren’t part of the original play. There were scenes in the play that were completely blacked out, where you couldn’t see anyone, you could only hear voices. There were no set changes, very few costume changes, and the acting was just very monotone. I’ve seen high school plays that were much better than this, where the acting was much better and they had much better sets and props. I’ve added a photo of the set, this is what it looked like throughout the entire play. I don’t think putting a transgender, black person in a mini skirt does Oklahoma justice. This version of the play had such a twisted and sick portrayal of Oklahoma that I left with a very bad taste in my mouth. Also, during scene where Ado Annie was to kiss the boyfriend, it made me gag!! Oklahomans should have run this play our of the state!!! What a waste of my money.

Place was filthy. Bathrooms were dirty. The manager Ashley was incredibly rude and smelled of alcohol. I asked her for directions and she caught an attitude, scoffed and was upset that I interrupted her conversation with who I am assuming is her boyfriend. Very unprofessional. Horrible experience.

Visited to see Miss Saigon with my wife for her birthday. Lobby and entry are are nice and interactions with various ushers was nice and pleasant. Theater area was disappointing. Seats are worn and scratched which give the appearance they are not into keeping it up. Little touch up would make a world of difference. Enjoyed the show very much.

My mom, her husband, myself, my husband, and our two kids (age 3 and age 9 months) came to watch Lion King this past Sunday, on Mother's Day. My 3 year old daughter dressed up like a lion, and was so excited to watch the show. My 9 month didn't really know what was going on, but loved the lights and music...and then fell asleep before intermission, as many babies do.
The volunteer that stood on the first floor by the gift shop / cocktail bar area was so helpful and kind. She told my mom where the bathrooms were, my husband how to get a booster seat, and how to get to our seats. She even took our picture for us. Very nice person.
But then we went up to our seats, in balcony left. Again - my kid was so excited. She kept saying "roar!" and "I am Simba!" anyway, we got to where we entered for our seats. The volunteer, here would not allow us to our seats without a general admission ticket for my baby. (Note: I had a ticket for my three year old, and was expecting to pay full price for her). Sheused a walkie talkie - with people standing around, listening - and everything. Not only was this very embarrassing, as we did not know we even needed a ticket, but it was very disappointing. When an infant is required to have a ticket, it appears as though the institution is not family friendly. I felt as though I was having to decide between a show or my family. It was very uncomfortable. As we were already there, with my 3 year old super excited, we felt forced to buy this ticket. It was so awkward and uncomfortable and very disappointing.

What a wonderful show. Thank you to the Civic Center for a great experience.
We stayed at the Skirvin and it was just a $6 Lyft ride to and from the venue (before tip). Can’t beat that kind of convenience.
Venue looks great and the employees for friendly. The show itself was great!

The civic center is better than ever these days. The décor is still great and the productions are top notch.

First trip to the Oklahoma City Music Hall. It has excellent lighting and the seats were well-positioned and comfortable. The symphony conductor was energetic and seemed tireless, and the musicians did a fantastic job!

How wide are the seats up front? I know I fit up in the side box seats but have issues with the main floor seats, and I am looking at VIP tickets for an event but if want to be comfortable...
Are the seats small or what? I'm a big guy 6'4" 300+ and am looking to buy tickets to a show. I'm worried I'll be uncomfortable in the seats as it's a 2+ hour showo
How far is the center balcony from the stage?

What is the size of the seat? I have a very tall husband and he has wide shoulders. I'm concerned he'd be uncomfortable for a long show. He doesn't fit on economy seats very well due to this. Are they smaller? Similar size? Larger?

You can request an end/aisle seat. As well as box seats (we have season box seats) and he'll have a seat all his own.

I am confused on how to dress appropriately for the evening

I don't know what you are going to the Civic Center for. They have ballrooms that host formal dances. If you are going to the main auditorium for a play, business casual should work in the evening, although you will see nicer and worse. For a matinee, a decent level of casual should do. If you are going to a concert, the level of dress will tend to be more toward jeans and shorts.
