Go for the Chihuly!
Jul 2021 • Friends
Loved, loved, loved all the Chihuly glass exhibits! Could have spent all day taking them in. Enjoyed how the rest of the exhibits were arranged by genre of art and the explanations posted on the walls in each room. Was just a little disappointed that the museum wasn’t a little bigger. A pleasant 2-3 hours (would have been less if I hadn’t obsessed on the Chihuly exhibits!).

Nice Art Work
May 2021
We enjoyed our afternoon at the art museum. They have the largest permanent Chihuly exhibit in the world as well as a nice selection of western art. Other than that they didn't have too much else, but it was still a really good time. We love Chihuly glass.

Chihuly exhibit is superb
Apr 2021 • Family
We went with the sole aim to stay safe by minimizing contact and just visiting the Dale Chihuly exhibition. It is simply outstanding and memorable. A nice video feature allows you to see his process of creating these incredible glass works. The atrium glass piece and Waterford Crystal chandelier also add to the experience. Don’t miss this.

World class museum in Oklahoma City

I want to talk about something that is almost never talked about. The lack of or inclusion of women artist. This art museum has done something in over 30 years of museuming I have never seen done before! In their main exhibit they had an equal number of women artists to the men artists. There was absolutely no mention of it nor was this a focus at all of the exhibit. The exhibit was amazing and for me personally much more so because of the intent to be as creative representing all artist.

This intent and curator eye for detail carries through this whole museum.

The Chihuly glass exhibition is a cut above what is shown almost anywhere else in the world. Read all the other reviews about the amazing art being shown here that represents both a large period of time in art and a range of different focus.

Disappointing

MOVING VISION. very disappointing as all the motion exhibits except one were not working. Not a good experience when you go to see motion art. They come on intermittently and were told you had to be there 3 hours to get the full experience. One room for 3 hours. I don't think so.

This museum attracts first rate exhibits. It also has a wonderful museum store. And a great small theatre showing unique movies.

Lovely American art collection! A must-see for Chihuly fans!!
Sep 2020
Visiting Oklahoma City for the first time and just for one day, so had to see what their art museum has to offer. It was well worth the couple hours we spent there!! Loved the awesome Chihuly Tower in the lobby! The reinstallation of their permanent collection is intriguing and interesting with pieces by major American artists, including Georgia O'Keeffe, John Sloan, and Kehinde Wiley, and European artists such as Courbet and Boudin! Same for the Postwar Abstraction with its Frankenthaler and Ellsworth Kelly and others. But the piece de resistence is the permanent Chihuly installation! It is stunning! Love how the most familiar of pieces are installed to allow for maximum 360 viewing or are hung differently than in other such exhibits. I had to walk through it twice!!

Very disappointed that the Chihuly exhibit was closed
Aug 2020 • Couples
The main reason we went here was to see the Chihuly glass. Unfortunately the exhibit was closed for maintenance which was very disappointing since this is probably the only time I'll ever be in OKC. The pop art was really good and we enjoyed many of the European and American paintings. The Chihuly piece in the lobby is impressive and the video was very interesting.

MOST Chihuly Art In The World Here!!
Jul 2020 • Friends
Who knew that OKC had the distinction of having the most Chihuly glass pieces of anywhere in the world? THIS is what we came to see, and it did not disappoint! This is a beautiful museum with three floors to explore. There are pieces from all of the world - old and contemporary. But the Chihuly pieces? Those are what you will spend most of your time looking it. They are breathtaking!

The Dale Chihuly exhibit is beautiful. The museum is spacious, and the food is exceptional.Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Parking was a little difficult, but it was worth it.
