OKC was very privileged to host this exhibit of one who was decidedly an influencer of modern art in many aspects. Expecting to see primarily his works, we were most pleased to experience the work of his contemporaries in contrast to his own. How very nice to observe and delve into a progression of expressionism from other viewpoints. Great exhibit,... More

It doesn't get any better than Matisse (and other French impressionists)! A spectacular exhibit. Must see: and try the museum café for an excellent chef-inspired meal.

Where else can you enjoy the masterworks of Matisse and not be in Paris? Oklahoma City--the exhibition will be here until September 18, so if you're in town, don't miss it! The museum café offers lovely lunches and dinners, the gift shop is an art piece itself. Affordable, memorable, wonderful!

The big attraction at this museum was Matisse In His Time, which was very well done; however, my favorite floor of this museum was the 3rd where Chihuly's glass works were incredible. I didn't expect to see this amount of artwork outside of Seattle. Absolutely beautiful.

The museum was cool and the displays were interesting. I could literally have spent hours in the blown glass area. FACINATING!

Do not miss this exhibit! It leaves Sept 18th! The life of Matisse and his artist friends, like Picasso & Renoir, from Paris!

I am not an art person, I really enjoy the more cultural-artifact type exhibits (things they find in old dig sites, pots, skeletons, jewelry, etc) however I do appreciate the work that goes into such a nice museum and the artwork inside. This museum is great, very clean, and the restaurant on-site was amazing. We also watched a movie there... More

My family and friends have been to the museum for special events, exhibits like Matisse, and wonderfully creative kids days. They also offer kids camps that are very enjoyable and open up my six year old child's creativity. Visitors from out of town have been very pleasantly surprised at our artist selection and quantity of art on exhibit.

The Matisse exhibit was brilliantly thought out. It featured art throughout his career and other artists of the time who were both influential to and influenced by Matisse. The glass exhibit on the third floor was stunningly beautiful and perfectly lit. The museum was not as large as I expected; it features, three main display areas, one on each floor.... More
