Matisse exhibit

My husband and I went to see the Matisse exhibit. It was very educational and I interesting. There were several comparisons to Picasso

They were showing an exhibit of French artist Henri Matisse. I was especially pleased to see an entire wall of his paper cut outs along with a variety of related works.

We happened upon the OKC museum of Art on a free day for guests. We enjoyed the regular exhibits and had some fun with the family festivities offered that day. Parking can be an issue; good thing we went on a Sunday when metered parking is free.

The blown glass sculptures are amazing. The current traveling exhibit on the St. John's bible is interesting and a beautiful piece of art.

I have regularly visited this museum over the last few years. Without a doubt it continues to grow and improve. The delightful museum restaurant, store, movies, permanent exhibits and best of all visiting exhibits are simply great. Check the calendar and do not miss this cultured prairie jewel of a museum.
