Located right off Britton Rd and the highway. Drop off the exit ramp and stop in to see sailboats and a wonderfull light house. walking trails without cars. On a windy day watch the kite skiers!

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express at 2811 NW Expressway and drove up N May Street then left towards Stars & Stripes Park and parked in that parking lot about 13 minutes from hotel. You will see so many people walking, biking, running and boating around the lake. The trails are nicely paved and the lake breeze is nice. We always walk out to the light tower and sit on the bench before we go. Watch out for angry geese!

My grandsons enjoyed an afternoon playing in the playground. There's a rocket ship that's 20+ feet tall with slides ladders ropes and other attractions. There are also several other climbing toys. The view is lake Hefner. Nice quit park for the family. Also covered picnic tables to sit at out of the sun

Who would have thought...such a beautiful surprise in Oklahoma city! We found it to be a welcome retreat from the hussle and bustle of our trip. Do not pass Hefner Lake, detour if necessarily.

Do not miss the one way drive on lake Hefner dr.. It's beautiful! U can park anywhere and breathe in the view. Renting a bike or going for a jog/walk are other options of course. There are fishing spots and I saw people carrying a picnic mat and basket and just lazing in the grass in the sun.

There is so much to do at Lake Hefner. There is about a 10 mile trail around the lake which is great for riding bikes, walking etc. Great Parks for the kiddo's. Sailboating, wind surfing, Kite flying are all big activities at Lake Hefner. There is even a golf course. It's right in town so it's a great neighborhood place... More
