What looks like a little water taxi ride up and down the canal turned into a beautiful tour of refurbished Bricktown. Oklahoma City has much to be proud of. Yes, you will drift past bars and nightclubs with sidewalk cafés. But you will also enjoy full length murals, the incredible bronze sculptures, and I historical narration along the way.The boat ride is seated and accessible for most riders. Great for all ages. Don’t miss it!

I always bring out of town guest for this approx 40 min water ride along the canal. The person running the boat gives a brief history lesson of different things about Oklahoma. However, this time I was not too happy. The guides should really remember tourist don’t care to know YOUR life story or about your girlfriend & what you went to college for etc.. they want to see our city. Enjoy the scenery and enjoy the tidbits of info you can share about our city. to them.
I’ve been on this canal ride so many times. But yesterday was disappointing. I was adding info to my guest as he was busy discussing his girlfriend or the NFL DRAFT.
I still tipped at the end.. but pass along to the workers.. people are there to learn or laugh enjoy the city.. not your specific personal life w not funny dad jokes. Yes I’ll be back. But please accept a good critique.

We went at dusk the city was lit up and we could still see the murals and statues. Our tour guide was friendly and entertaining. The boat was a little tight with all of us on there but not uncomfortable. The wind was really whipping and the night air was chilly so definitely recommend long sleeves or a light jacket. Learning about the history of the area was interesting. Great little trip for the family.

The water taxi was one of the first activities we planned in the Oklahoma City area to orient ourselves in the area. Alan was our boat driver and he did a relatively nice job of pointing out art of interest on the canal as well as restaurants that people may be interested to eat at. He forgot his keys to the boat at the beginning and his microphone was always not working or giving feedback. The whole tour took around 40 to 45 minutes and started at the Brickopolis area and went down to the land run monument before it turned around. There was no hop on hop off service because of Covid. They said that you could hop off but with limited capacity you might not be able to get back on a later boat.

My organization hosted a private event with the Bricktown Water Taxi and their entire staff was WONDERFUL! Incredibly helpful in setting up the event and great at accommodating our events' special needs. The boat captains for the evening are very entertaining and know so much history about Oklahoma City, Bricktown, and public artwork along the canal. We had so many event guests who had never been on the Bricktown Water Taxis that loved their experience. Highly recommend for all locals and visitors!

The tour was not long, but it was a fun little trip up and down the canal. Our guide was a bit odd, but the kids liked him. I would definitely do the weekend nights again with just my wife. We went early evening on a Tuesday, so it was a bit more quiet from what the guide said.

We were in Bricktown on kind of a dead afternoon, so we decided to ride the canal. Julia was a perfectly lovely tour guide and was gracious and funny. She gave great background about the area and the city.

I felt like it was a little on the expensive side for what it was, but my kids really liked it. The other observation was that the canal goes through the touristy area, so there was a lot of litter and watching people eat on patios. Seeing the Sooners sculpture as well as the Native American sculpture was really the highlight.

Our group of 7 (us two first-time visitors to OKC and 5 family members who live there) were hoping for a boat ride on the canal. We walked all around the canal, where much wasn't open, possibly due to COVID. Finally we got to the boat dock and found that they were open, just on a limited basis due to COVID. Only boat rides, no hop on-hop off; and only from the one dock; we took the boat tour, wearing masks, with each of two groups seated with a plexiglass partition down the middle of the boat. Fun boat ride with a terrific tour guide who shared stories and made jokes. He's got his spiel down! Enjoyed the history of the buildings, the murals, the sculptures, the businesses. Made for a memorable experience!

Bricktown is a relatively new part of OKC and they are really building it up to be quite a destination. The water taxi takes you through the man-made canal (similar to San Antonio’s Riverwalk) and narrates the sights along the way. Robert, our boat driver and tour guide, is a native Oklahoman and did a great job talking about the city and its history. The best part of the tour is seeing the impressive Centennial Land Run sculpture. The tour is worth it just for this part! I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn a bit about the city and see Bricktown from a different perspective.

Our tour guide, Ted, was great. You can’t beat funny and knowledgeable. He was very welcoming and I think made the tour what it was.

As far as the tour itself, we loved it. My 7 yo was more interested in the ducks, birds and the bunny we spotted but his interest was piqued when we reached the statues.

All in all, pretty good and would recommend. If you’re military, they offer a discount. Parking around the corner was $5 & you can stay as long as you want.
