While I wasn’t too excited to do this outside activity when it was over 100 degrees …it was worth it! Our guide Kale was very entertaining and gave the tour group a really interesting history lesson on Bricktown. The Sooner sculpture was amazing to see and we’d love to go back to study the bronzes more closely. Ps I’ve you are of a certain age - this reminded us of La Salles boat ride at Six Flags Over Texas back in the 70s😊. Made it even more fun!…

The "canal" is recent, not historical, and doesn't connect to the Oklahoma River or anything else. And this is not a "taxi", since it doesn't stop anywhere other than its starting point. And from our experience, and reading some of the other reviews, the "captain" is likely to be a young college-age person who cracks lots of silly jokes and bumps into as many things along the way as possible. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable introductory way to see parts of Bricktown. You get a narrative of the history of the area, you get to see the sculptures of the Oklahoma Land Run, you get to see some places you may want to visit later or eat at, and you get out on some water in a relaxed environment. And some people like the captain and their silly jokes, including the one of us that isn't writing this ;-)…

The tour was not long, but it was a fun little trip up and down the canal. Our guide was a bit odd, but the kids liked him. I would definitely do the weekend nights again with just my wife. We went early evening on a Tuesday, so it was a bit more quiet from what the guide said.

Rode on the Water Taxi mid afternoon. We didn't get tickets in advance. We did not have to wait long before the boat was back in and we were able to ride. They pack you in tight on the boat. Inside seating is bench, outside is chairs, and you are knee to knee with the people across from you. The ride itself was decent. I'm guessing it would be better at night when all the area is lit up. Our guide was in training and it showed. Horrible jokes and stories and hit multiple things during our ride. She was very honest about still training and did warn everyone these things may happen. The ride itself is not long. You go down one direction a ways, make a U-turn, then go back the other way and U-Turn. They provide some history of the area along the way. It was ok, but not something we would do again.…
