The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City.

A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more.

Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

If you have a desire to visit a rain forest without traveling outside the US, this is the place. It is so well presented with such a huge variety of tropical plants, you'll have "Ahh" moments at every turn...and on every level. Do not miss this experience.

The outside grounds are lovely. Not much in winter, but in the spring and summer it would be beautiful. The indoor portion is small. After visiting places like Longwood in PA and the gardens in DC, this was a let down.

The brochure claims the combination of children's garden, band shell, restaurants, ice rink, and a few more places is "a combination found in no other city center in the United States". I don't know that for sure, but I'm sure that I want this in my town and would use it constantly if I lived in OKC. Even in the... More

Decided to get away from Dallas for a few days. Although it is winter, the trails and park itself was very calming and 😌. We will definitely come again in the spring when the 🌺 have come into full bloom #orchidlover

In mid February the planting beds were dormant and brown, all herbaceous material removed. Plant labels suggested what it might look like when native plants grew in a few months. The path layouts were interesting. There is what appears to be a lighted fountain sculpture for summer display and play. The indoor conservatory (entry fee) displays familiar and unfamiliar exotic... Enjoyed the day walking around the grounds on an unseasonably warm Winter morning. Didn't tour the conservatory, which was reasonably priced at $8. Grounds were very well maintained, and should be beautiful in the spring and summer, when everything's in full bloom.

The Crystal Bridge located in the middle of the Myriad Gardens is a treasure trove of beautiful plants and flowers. The outside gardens are, of course, seasonal. However, no matter the time of year there are scores of picturesque spots to enjoy and make lifelong memories. During the warmer months there are all sorts of cultural events here as well.... More
