The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public...

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City.

A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more.

Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

It is free to visit the outdoor area of the botanical gardens, there was some work being carried out when we were there, some new terraces for flowers. There were not a huge amount of flowers but many different grasses and shrubs. The area seemed smaller that I would have expected but it was a really pleasant experience

I liked seeing the variety of plants although it was very hot and humid in parts. There is a very pretty bird there that may talk to you if she feels like it.

So many plants! And right in the middle of the city, too! It was simply too cool! We got to see it all from the bridge and were in awe!

Visited with friends for a gentle afternoon stroll The gardens are available for free and are excellent. They are well cared for and very tidy. They are still doing some construction. The greenhouse area is charged but very interesting. They keep a huge range of plants all again well kept for Would recommend

Somehow this venue is not something one would expect to find in the center of OKC... a lovely indoor tropical garden in a completely renovated building. Folks of all ages and interests seem to really enjoy this place... complete with waterfalls and butterflies. A very nice way to spend an hour or so, if you are exploring the downtown area.... More

What a wonderful way to spend a few hours on a nice day. The grounds are very large and well taken care of. Lots to see, and everything is labeled clearly. The crystal bridge is the best part by far, so spend the $8 and do it! Within walking distance of Bricktown if you are staying there like we were... More

I've enjoyed 2 visits there when in town. Beautiful flowers in a nice quiet setting. Inexpensive and worth visiting if you appreciate gardens. A great spot for flower photography as well.

Grandparents, parents and grandkids, 5 & 7 yrs, had a spectacular evening at the gardens last night. They had been before for the special event for St Patrick's and looked forward to sharing this gem with us. We ate dinner at a nearby restaurant, Mutts, then drove to the gardens which is a full city block. It is a condensed,... More

The green house is really neat. Looks like a jungle inside. Waterfalls and palm trees all over. Take bread to feed the ducks and goldfish.

Based on the reviews and online descriptions, I expected a special garden, but it was very ho hum. Most of the grounds are just a park, free and open to the public. Probably very nice in the spring but on a hot summer day, it was just a large green space with a couple of water features and ducks. The... More
