My husband and I spend the afternoon here, it was lovely! It was a little more “free range” than I expected but I liked that!

The gardens are peaceful and very nice and interesting. Aug and Sep had been very hot and dry, the gardens looked good. We enjoyed the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. It is a little expensive, but it is beautiful and very interesting. It was a little difficult to breathe with Covid prevention masks on in the warm and humid environment, which may affect people with breathing problems. A group with a bunch of badly behaving kids, also made it less enjoyable that it would have been. I do not understand why parents believe it is OK. It seems like they think it is good for the kids to be loud and the rest of the public be dammed? But if Moms laugh and yell at each as well, some time louder than the kids to make themselves heard, one can just imagine what type of people they are. Unfortunately, it takes away from the serenity and peacefulness and instead of enjoying the time, one just wants to get out and leave these people with no manners and disrespectful behaviors behind.

I only had a day and a half to spend Time in Oklahoma City. This was the first place that we went and we walked out extremely pleased. Both the Arboretum as well as the ground surrounding were an excellent place to relax, eat a meal, and the Arboretum was excellent

The outdoor gardens and water features are free for all to enjoy in this downtown oasis of beauty. Only the Myriad Botanical Gardens that are indoors cost to experience. We are members of NARM so did not have to pay. There is a one-way walkway that traces from desert to tropics with abundant, beautiful, intersting, and appropriate plantings. The pathway crosses over a sky bridge and has a number of Kodak Moment waterfalls. There are signs identifying certain plants, but it is often difficult to know to which plant the sign belongs. A wonderful place for all ages.
