Having been to several famous and big city zoos, including the San Diego and LA, I was unprepared to be impressed by the OKC Zoo and yet I was very impressed! We enjoyed a full day seeing all of the exhibits. We particularly enjoyed the close-up views of the bears, elephants, apes, chimps, bats, owls, and crocodiles. They pretty much... More

I took my granddaughter here and she enjoyed herself. She loves animals, so even on a scorching hot day, I enjoyed watching her name all the animals that she say.

Went to the zoo over Thanksgiving weekend. It was a little windy and cold, but the animals didn't seem to mind - they were all out and probably the most personable bunch I've encountered at a zoo. There is a lot of up and down walking, but it is worth it. There is also a tram (for an additional fee)... More

I grew up in OKC and remember the zoo from long ago with a train that went on forever. My siblings and I remember Judy the elephant and the huge pit of Monkeys that climbed around on an old ship. This is a beautiful place to visit probably any time of a year. The lake is spectacular, the elephant area... More

When we lived in Oklahoma City we had an annual membership to the zoo. The elephant enclosure was amazing. The detail put into the layout of the elephant area is very well done. Check out the show times to watch the elephants up close. The wait will be worth it to share just a few moments with these gentle giants.... More

The Oklahoma City Zoo is one of the best 10 zoos in the United states. Wide open areas for the animals and a wide variety of species. Plenty of dining options and amenities for people of all ages.

Most of the animals were not available to see. Signs saying animal in sick bay or closed. Visited in April 2016. This was a definite to do while in Oklahoma City. Still it was a beautiful day and a great walk with my hubby.

I think I burned more calories walking this place than I do at the gym!!! So many steep hills, and the distance between places says it wasn't very well planned....... Yes I'm spoiled because I grew up with the Tulsa zoo being where I went. That means I judge ever other place off it. This OKC zoo failed the test!... More

This is my second favorite zoo to The San Diego Zoo. The prices are great, Parking is plentiful and if they run out of spots you can park at The Park across the street and they will shuttle you to the entrance. The zoo is spaced out and there is plenty of space in each animal exhibit. I've been to... More
