This place used to be a one of a kind location. That is until the "landlord" of the area raised prices so high that local businesses were forced out. I am all for supporting the local businesses on campus corner rather than the chains.

Campus corner in Norman Oklahoma is a fun community of lots of restaurant, boutiques, and other businesses. Whether you are looking for great pizza at Hideaway or unbelievable donuts at Hurt’s Donuts, you’ll be sure to find a great place to eat. It’s right across the street from The University of Oklahoma and the area is very iconic and fun. Parking is available but can be a bit tricky. There is a meters, parking lots adjacent to businesses and also paid parking lot just to the west of the area. You’ll love the many choices of eateries to pick from. Blackbird Pub, Louie’s, Baked Bear and many others will wow you.

Decent restaurants and good shopping along the few blocks in Campus Corner. VERY BUSY on OU game days. Be forewarned that on game days, most bars that serve food will not allow you to bring your children under 21 or 18 in with you.

When I was in college, Campus Corner was a favorite hangout. From the Town Tavern to Liberty D's, Harold's, Dee's, The Sunshine Store, the boutique stores, Miller's Bicycles, and a little liquor store (to name but a few places I loved), I often took walks there just to take in the old-time ambience, buy a dress or a record, and nibble a few bites along the way.
All those places are gone now. Every one. I have eaten at a few places there as it changed from charming to commercial, and I can say without fear of retribution that there is not a single place on Campus Corner that I would frequent again. Where the boutique shops were is a CVS Pharmacy. Next to Victoria's (awful food, BTW) on White Street, somebody has put up a building that overshadows the entire area. I am not sure who owns Campus Corner, but his greed has overwhelmed his sense of history. He literally drove out everybody who made Campus Corner the lovely, charming, kitschy place it used to be and has turned it into what is virtually a strip mall, the kind one can find anywhere in this rapidly growing metropolis that used to be my home town.
I don't go to Campus Corner anymore because it makes me sick to see what has happened to it, just as it makes me sick to drive by the OU campus and watch them tear down historic buildings to replace them with hideous, gargantuan structures that surely went to the lowest bidder, based on their ridiculous, cheap-looking designs and materials.
As a young woman, I felt safe walking around the Boyd, White, and Asp area, even late at night. Now, years later, I wouldn't feel safe walking there in the daytime. There are no safe places anymore, and nowhere left to go to find my memories.

We would frequent Campus Corner a Lot more frequently than we have been more lately, (past few years). The area used to consist of more good choices of shops, and dining available, that appealed to all budgets, and were of very good Quality. Bit by Bit, a few really great shops went out of Business, mainly Harolds, and Harolds Outlet, with fine quality clothing and at moderate prices in the Outlet. That shop and more were formerly housed in beautiful buildings, making the visit alone worthwhile. Some buildings went vacant, only finally filled now with either Chains, or fast-food cafes, that have become over-crowded, and parking is at a premium ! Some restaurants now in Norman,, including on Campus Corner area, also appear just stripped of their original ambiance and warm atmosphere. As with so many places now, their too loud w. hip hop muzac , not kept very clean, and frankly, the area has seen better times. Not much better anymore, either, over on East Main St.. Lots of Potential in this area, but with the loss of Quality and Cleanliness, the restaurants on the Highway may be attracting the Adult tastes that prefer at least a little more atmosphere, a decent meal, clean tables, and restrooms.

The campus corner WAS a fine place to take family and to meet with friends. BUT the corner management company brought in slot machine parking meters that are patrolled until 9pm, and Saturdays as well. Come on down and feel the love of money loving landlords. Good Luck!

This area is adorable. I felt like I was in the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Lots of great restaurants and little stores. We tried louie’s AND Backed Bear. Both great. Also bought some OU gear at 2 of the stores. Easy walk from OU campus.

Campus Corner has several shops to purchase OU anything, cute clothing, and home decor. There are also several options for hair stylists. Some of my favorite restaurant options in Norman, like Pepe Delgados are in this area. If you're not feeling like eating an entire meal, there are some great places to grab a drink, or dessert, or a snack. It is across the street from the gorgeous OU campus. There are a couple of parking lots which do not charge, or metered parking. You could come to campus corner, check out the art museum on the OU campus and then walk around campus for some lovely photos for a lovely day in Norman.

Totally family friendly now. It's mostly restaurants, but there are a few spirit shops. Parking is a problem when school (OU) is in session. In the summer it is pretty easy to find parking and a great place to eat.

So we took a 27 minute train ride to Norman just to introduce my granddaughter to Amtrak. The first stop from my town is Norman, Oklahoma! Although I am a native Oklahoman I have spent half my adult life away, so discovering some of the quaint places in Oklahoma is fun, especially when you're doing alongside your 5 year old! We spent the morning wondering around downtown and about the campus. I was personally quite pleased, as well as impressed with the little shops and stops on our path my favorite stop was Starbucks and my granddaughters' was at the park located at the train station (Christmas decorations drew her in...). Loved visiting the campus and seeing the Heisman trophy winners statues of Sims, White & Bradford! I've visited OU on several occasions in the past but it was always on business and the campus environment seemed to always be too busy for simply wondering, this was an extra special treat to visit while the campus was closed for the holidays! All and all it was a great morning for a train ride and a visit to the historic OU Campus corner and Downtown !
