High energy. Clear dialogues. Funny. Great voices! The costumes were appropo and actors were efficient in their quick changes. Would love to see another play at the Sooner theatre soon.

This theatre is in a great down town location. It is very nice inside and has a variety of events held there.

Attended a non theater event at this location and it was still a perfect venue. The building is historic and cozy but accommodated a semi large crowd. There were plenty of access for disabilities as my 87 year old grandmother was able to get in and get seated without much difficulty. The space was clean and inviting. The décor is mid-evil with out being kitschy.

My friends and I come here for the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween almost every year. Its a super fun event which is heightened by hosting it in the theatre with a stage in front of the showing with live actors and balcony seating. Its always a great time!

We went to see a local production of Les Miserables. It was very well done. The box office staff were very helpful getting us tickets. Its a great old theater and harkens back to another time.

My husband and I were lucky enough to snag tickets to see Parker Millsap at the Sooner Theater. The show was wonderful, and we fully enjoyed it. The theater is a beautiful venue with great architectural details, felt like a small group even though it was a full house. The seats are pretty comfy for an older theater, and even my talk husband had plenty of leg room. A couple of negatives: We both felt like the sound was a little off- he called it "a little muddy", not sure if it was the acoustics of the venue or the sound system or what. Also, the theater was quite a bit too warm for us. We felt cool air every once in a while but not often enough. Give yourself time to park and walk a little bit. We parked about a block and a half away, not too bad of a walk at all, but at a busier time or day, you may have to park further away. All in all, it was a positive experience and we enjoyed the historic beauty of the theater.

The Sooner Theater is a long time fixture in Norman. All kinds of local productions are shown here. It is very quaint and rustic, but the acoustics and systems are superior. For most productions, you have to get advanced tickets, but it is worth it. Parking is not ample, but there is good amount of parking area available on the west side of the railroad tracks.

For a local theater there is a great variety of shows. You need to make sure the show is suitable for your family. Choices run to very family friendly to adult. The summer arts program is excellent. Kids put on a show at the end of the period. Great talent,
There are also several visiting artists throughout the year. I've seen plays I did not care for, but they were done very well.

I encourage you to check out available shows.
