Calypso Cove Marina is located on Lake Thunderbird in Norman, Oklahoma. We’re a full-service marina with fuel dock, wet / dry boat storage, and watersport rentals including pontoon boats. Our Ship Store features weekly food specials, live bait, beer, and anything else you might need for your day at the lake. We’re open 8 am to 8 pm during the summer months.

A nice relaxing day at the lake
May 2021
A nice relaxing day away from the house. I loaded up my car and drove to the lake, and realized everyone in Norman had the same plan.
This place was accomodating for as many people that was there on that day. I also notice the easy boat ramp for boating.
The rain came in and cleared a lot of people, but all in all it was a nice day to sit at the Cove and write.

Great place to get bait or when you forgot the one thing.

The people who run the place are a joy. I always end up spending time shooting the breeze when I visit. They sell gas for your boat, bait for your hooks and food for your belly. They also have a few other things you may have forgotten when you went to the lake.

Welcome Getaway

One of the best lakes to visit in Oklahoma, and this was a spontaneous trip. I needed a break from the mundane, wasn’t interested in my usual outings, and did not feel like driving 2 - 4 hours to the more popular state parks. So I packed a backpack, grabbed ice cold water bottles and headed out to Lake Thunderbird. The Marina is visually stunning and the owner’s homemade pizza was good enough to order seconds. You can grab your food and sit on one of the several tables outside the store, smack in front of boats, the lake and a great view. Definitely going back.
