This was a very different drive through Christmas light display. There was a HUGE number of inflatables through out the Castle grounds. Very interesting. I am very interested in attending some of their many events that they have through out the year after seeing the Castle Grounds.

Our family of five gave this a shot for the first time at $50 each. The Castle is beautiful, the food was good and plentiful. The entertainment was good and the experience was fun! We did not dress to participate but there were many there and if we go back, which is the talk since we enjoyed it, we have talked about dressing up for the event. There were a few at our table that did dress up and do take part in more than this event at the castle and the chatter of the events and involvement seems like it is great. It does have a cash bar and they do take credit/debit cards. Water is the only free drink.

See the falconers a good group willing to show off and share stories of their birds. Stay and watch the fighting a little amateurish still fun. Walk the paths enjoying the sellers and hawkers of wares, dresses, hats, canes and more. Have a beer and a turkey leg. Plenty of food to go around with good people. Shows for kids of all ages with singers of songs which some may be for the older child in you. They have a children's area. Follow the Castle for things happening all year long. At least once a person must pay the extra to feast with the King.

First I must a say we are Renfair regulars and our home fair is the Bristol Renaissance fair in Wisconsin. We have attended there for 30 years at least once a year and more recently two or three weekends a year. We now venture out to go to other Ren fair‘s. Our third fair was to Muskogee Castle Renaissance Fair. The first day was overcast and muddy but a great way to view the grounds and shop with a limited amount of crowd. there was shops and shows and food galore. The second day was fabulous it was Mother’s Day and our queen mother had a wonderful time saying it was the best Mother’s Day ever. This is a very good event to do as a family and your entertainment dollar value is high. We saw shows like the Misadventures, The Washing Wenches, Ivanavitch and the pirates storming the castle on pirate weekend. The food was good staple renfair food, look for Scotch Eggs in the Pirate area. Plenty of Alcohol. We have already decided it is on the list of places to return to. Don’t forget to tip your entertainers for they are not paid, they work for tips. Needs a little more depth, stores, and food choices.

I've been to a Renaissance fair. This is just like it in a more permanent structure. I don't wear the costumes or all that because I lack that kind of dedication. If I wanted to I could get it all there. I thought about it. My all time favorite part was meeting the character that was playing with death to keep us alive in the children's area. My son fought a knight, threw axes and knives and thought we needed more armor in our lives. I wouldn't mind going back next year or for Halloween.
